I need this for a costume but I don’t know how to make it into a hat?!!

Just like you button a blouse (kinda). There is a button on the middle flap, a button hole on each outer flap. Just take one side and "button" it. Repeat with the other side. The front will naturally curl up. Viola....you have a nurse's cap.
