Are the boxes supposed to be sealed when they first arrive? Mine are not, so how do I know if they're what they are supposed to be, not expired and the right stuff?

Foil on blister pack has Dr. Ohhiras name and company. Mfg. date and expiration date on box. The boxes I get are not sealed (taped).Product of Japan. Other countries do not seal boxes. The US didn't either, until the Tylenol poisonings, years ago. Terrific product.

Why, on Earth, would they add caramel color to the capsule??? People are trying to be healthy and they are adding a known carcinogen to the product.

It does say that caramel color has been added. Carrageenan as well. Too bad they're using these low quality capsules. The rest of the ingredients seem legit.

What is the quantity of live bacteria ?

I think it's 12 billion but I know this stuff really works. I've been using it successfully for years. It's great because you can store it at room temperature. Also, if you chew it, it works great for acid reflux. Hope this helps!!!
