No a bad movie. Spock was cool.

It was all digital and is all online. It was a good price so I purchased it. We enjoy this series and watch them again from time to time.

There was very little if anything that I disliked about Beyond. I loved the new character that was introduced on the planet and her eventual becoming a star fleet cadet. The overall story was great and felt closer and identified with the crew more than ever. I personally didn't see what the negative reporting was about. It made me want to look forward to these crews in the future. Now we know that may not happen. I thought that it was a great tribute to Anton Yelchin. He will be missed. 😥

This is based on the television series Star Trek created by Gene Roddenberry which I watched as a teenager. Fast forward multiple decades I am happy to see this movie in the effort to reboot the forgotten past. Leonard Nimoy (The original Spock) died a year before this film's release. The film does pay tribute to him and I am certain they had to tweak the plot just to include those scenes. Sadly this movie marked one of the final film performances of actor Anton Yelchin , who died in a car accident on June 19, 2016, just a month before release. Actually his dialogues are one of the funniest in the movie. Rest in Peace! Four star movie!

The Sci-Fi film has its high points and its low points like every other film does, however you can definitely tell that the crew had a lot of fun making this film. From the very well placed humour among the cast, to the overall acting capabilities of the cast and them conveying their characters as if it were meant to be.Another thing that is well worth mentioning is the totally awesome film music score by the brilliant composer Michael Giacchino. Never in my life did I imagine that a STAR TREK film would include some of the songs that were included with this one. Now, this isn’t a bad thing by any means, it was just surprising to see that a Beastie Boys song was used in STAR TREK, now that must be a first. To sum things up, get ready for some interesting side adventures, snappy dialogues, brilliant CGI, an entertaining music film score and also a relationship angle, for good measure. The kind of blend that is definitely a signature J.J. Abrams [co-producer]. The awesome sets and costume details are very strong, with the bright wonderful colours of the uniforms, the bright greens of the planet vegetation and especially the different colour rock formations and rocky surfaces, all proving to be totally excellent. Skin tones are also natural looking and while the sequence on the crashed saucer section of the U.S.S. Enterprise appears quite dark at times, it does resemble how the sequence looked when I saw it in the cinema in 3D and so, given the unstable and low-lit nature of the scene, it appears accurate in appearance.3D Blu-ray Audio Quality – Paramount Pictures have once again given us this Blu-ray ‘STAR TREK BEYOND 3D’ in an incredibly strong audio experience, especially with the DOLBY ATMOS [7.1 Dolby TrueHD Compatible] and is truly spectacular. Many of the masks that are only glimpsed briefly in the film and are enormously elaborate and you can see and realise why these STAR TREK films cost massive amounts of money, especially having to produce multiple amounts of the same prosthetic face masks. It also demonstrates the reboot series by showing a side-by-side comparison of the ending of 'Wrath of Khan' as well as the scene in 'Into Darkness’ STAR TREK films. But overall I felt some of the clips we see are sometimes very silly and also totally pointless.Finally, ‘STAR TREK BEYOND 3D’ is totally wonderful and full of energy. Unfortunately I cannot at this moment in time enjoy the DOLBY ATMOS with my set up, but the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD Compatible is still truly amazing audio experience and especially having the ability to hear the elevated audio portions of the various scenes allowed for an all-out immersive audio experience. With all of that, you the audience is going to experience a totally out of this world experience. The films story line was rock solid and has me looking forward to the eventual and hopefully next STAR TREK franchise film in the series and curious to see where the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise will end up on their fourth year of their journey to where no one has gone before. I really enjoyed watching ‘STAR TREK BEYOND 3D,’ which I watched it twice in one day and that is how brilliant this Sci-Fi film is. Highly Recommended!Andrew C. Star Trek Beyond (2015 bzw. 2016) ist nun der dritte Film in der anderen Zeitlinie oder anderer Dimension, was wem besser gefallen würde, aber der 13. Kinofilm der Star Trek-Reihe.Die Crew der Enterprise soll bei einer Rettungsaktion die Besatzung eines abgestürzten Raumschiffes helfen, gerät aber in eine Falle. In einer wüsten Raumschlacht wird die Enterprise zerstört und die überlebende Besatzung muss auf einem Planeten notlanden, wo sie den Verursacher der Falle treffen: Krall. Dieser will eine Waffen-Relikte die die Enterprise in ihrem Archiv lagert, die eine geheime Waffe vervollständigen soll. Mit dieser Waffe will Krall die Föderation angreifen. Beginnen will er den Angriff auf einen Habitat im Weltraum mit Millionen Lebewesen die aus vielen oder allen (?) Welten der Föderation bevölkert sind. Dabei kommt es zu einem dramatischen Höhepunkt als man herausbekommt, wer Krall in Wirklichkeit ist.Einfach vortrefflich ist der Beginn der Geschichte der ach so gefährlich aussehenden Biester, denen Kirk ein Friedensgeschenk übergeben soll und was sich daraus entwickelt. Ich will die Überraschung aber hier nicht verraten. Aber der Humor geht auch im gesamten Film weiter und trägt dazu bei das der Film, besonders wegen der dargestellten dramatischen Gefahr für die Föderation nicht gänzlich ernst gerät.Obwohl viele scheinbar Nostalgiker hier den Film mit nur einem Stern bewerteten, kann man wohl die Kritiken mit einem Satz argumentieren: Es ist kein herkömmlicher Star Trek-Film. Ja, auch keine oder kaum Star Trek-Mentalität die man bislang kannte und an der Serie schätzte. Nun ja, waren die beiden ersten Filme ja auch schon recht Actionreich, so bietet dieser Film fast durchgängig eine sehr rasante Actiongeschichte mit einer recht überraschungsarmen Geschichte. Auch wenn eine Geschichte im Hintergrund immer gut ist, so hat mir dieser Film aufgrund seiner gut gemachten Actionstory sehr gut gefallen. Und richtig galaktische Action gibt es im Bereich der SF doch recht wenig.Auch die Einspielergebnisse blieben hinter den ersten zwei Teilen zurück. 158 Millionen US-Dollar wurden eingenommen (die Vorfilme beliefen sich auf 257 Millionen der erste Film und 228 Millionen der zweite). Vielleicht haben die Amerikaner die ewigen Geschichten von Attentaten die seit Jahren durch Film und Serien zieren auch schon genug. Vielleicht wollen sie keine Actionreiche Filme mehr. Im Moment ist ja der Trend Intrigenserien und Dialoglastige innere Konfliktfilme. Scheinbar ist dieser Trend auch im deutschsprachigen Raum zu finden, da die Kritik zu diesem Star Trek-Film auch verhalten war. Dennoch bekam er jede Menge Nominierungen (Bester SciFi-Film, bestes Hairstyling (man sollte es nicht glauben, für was es Auszeichnungen gibt), und Nominierungen für einiger der Schauspieler.Die Animationen und Detailgenauigkeiten sind auch in diesem Film bombastisch und bieten viel für das Auge. So viel, das man sich den Film ein zweites Mal ansehen möchte und muss. So manch CGI-Szenen waren zwar nicht immer gelungen. So die eine Szene wo Kirk mit dem Motorrad auf Geröll fährt. Es sieht so aus als würde er über die Steine schweben als fahren. Oder das der eine oder andere Felsen farblich viel zu glatt erschien.Geschrieben haben das Drehbuch Simon Pegg und Doug Jung. Pegg ist der Scotty-Darsteller und bekannt aus mehreren englischen Komödien. Nur so am Rande als kleine Überraschung erwähnt, wen wer Simon Pegg in seinen bisherigen Rollen kannte. Aber das ist wohl auch der Grund das gerade die witzigen Dialoge und Wortgefechte und seine größere Rolle in diesem Film besonders auffielen, da Pegg ein Trekker durch und durch ist. Bei dem Regisseur Abrahams weiß man ja, dass dieser mit Star Trek nichts am Hut hat. Leider hatte Pegg und Jung den Gegner Krall mit zu wenig Tiefe versehen, so das der Bösewicht eine 0-8-15-Darstelllung war, die man schon allzu oft gesehen hat. Es war nur Glück das man den Schauspieler Idris Elba für diese Rolle gewinnen konnten, der der Figur mehr Präsenz verlieh. Manchmal erinnerten mich die Mimiken an die Echsenrolle aus dem Film Enemy Mine – Geliebter Feind. Wohltuend war die Figur der Jaylah die mehr als frischen Wind brachte und sehr gut gespielt wurde.An einiger Logik mangelte es jedoch an etlichen Stellen im Film. Krall der allein überlebte baute eine riesige Flotte auf mit einer Mannschaft….woher kam das alles? Aber er und seine damalige restliche Besatzung brachte es nicht zustande sein altes Schiff zu reaktivieren was Jaylah und Scotty binnen kürzester Zeit schafften? Woher die Technik der Lebensverlängerung? Darauf wurde kaum eingegangen. Aber das ging alles zu Lasten der Actionreichen Story leider unter. Amüsant war die kurze Szene am Habitat wo Sulu seinen Partner (Drehbuchautor Jung) mit Kind trifft. Wer nicht weiß, dass der ehemalige Originalschauspieler George Takei homosexuell ist, hätte nicht gewusst was diese Szene eigentlich aussagen sollte. Es sollte wohl ein Wink auf den Originalschauspieler sein. Eine Szene die nur eingeschworene Trekkers verstehen, sonst bleibt die Szene weitgehends unerklärt.Im Abspann und im Bonusmaterial gewürdigt wurden die verstorbenen Schauspieler Leonard Nimoy (2015) und Chekov-Darsteller Anton Yelchin (2016). Yelchini starb kurz nach der Filmveröffentlichung, weil sein eigenes Auto in seiner Auffahrt aufgrund einer angeblichen fehlerhaften Bremse ihn überrollt hatte.Letztendlich möchte ich auch noch die Filmmusik von Michael Giacchino erwähnen. Er schrieb auch schon für die ersten zwei Star Trek-Filme in der neuen Zeitebene, aber dieses Mal übertraf er sich selbst. Nicht nur das die Musik einige Themen aufweisen konnte, die im Ohr bleiben, passt die Musik vortrefflich zu den ganzen Actionszenen und heben die Spannung weiter an.Wer eine traditionelle Star Trek-Geschichte nach alt bekannter Art erwartet wird wohl eher enttäuscht werden. Wer aber einen Film voller Action, bombastischen Bildern und einer richtigen Prise Humor sehen möchte, ist hier mehr als gut bedient.Laufzeit des Filmes:122 Minuten.Qualität der Blu-Ray:Bildqualität: 1080p/24 High Definition (2,39.1). Das Bild ist scharf und ohne jegliche Bildstörungen. Ein bombastisches Bilderlebniss in auch sehr guten Farben.Tonqualität: Deutsch und Englisch in Dolby Digital 5.1. Der Ton ist gut und die Dialoge gut verständlich. Die englische Tonspur mit Dolby Atmos ist von gewaltiger Tonqualität, die naturgemäß besser klingt als die deutsche DD-Tonspur.

日本でまだ発売されていないのが素敵。値段的にはこんなものかなぁ。マニアには喜ばれますね。
