Elements of Propulsion: Gas Turbines and Rockets, Second Edition provides a complete introduction to gas turbine and rocket propulsion for aerospace and mechanical engineers. Textbook coverage has been revised and expanded, including a new chapter on compressible flow. Design concepts are introduced early and integrated throughout. Written with extensive student input, the book builds upon definitions and gradually develops the thermodynamics, gas dynamics, rocket engine analysis, and gas turbine engine principles. Please note: In order to make room for new content some materials that appeared in previous editions of the book are now available as complimentary Supporting Materials downloads from the publisher web site. For information on accessing this material please consult page 949 in the back of the textbook. Good Book with slight flaw
A really good textbook that covers most of the fundamentals of propulsion. However, there are quite a few typos in notations, and diagrams (vectors).

Good book, came dented
The textbook content is good. The cover was dented despite buying it new.

Every Version available on this textbook has a specific chapter ...
Every Version available on this textbook has a specific chapter that was mandatory to be provided for each chapter. This book was missing a crucial chapter (Concept on Ramjet) and an appendix table. The provider should advise the customer what chapter are provided and not. So another buyer will not make the mistake I had to experience.

Great Book - Slight Damage
This book is great and very useful for my mechanical engineering degree course (UK). Anyway, I didn't give it 4 stars simply because one of the pages was damaged- it looks like a manufacturing issue. Otherwise, great product- lots of information, nice images, includes UK unit conversions and has a good amount of practice questions. As always, textbooks are very expensive! I honestly believe that if this book was within a more accessible price range for students, then it would sell considerably more copies.
