Sturdy, hopefully long lasting. Requires a USB connection, but not claimed to be provided.
This unit is firmly attached to my desk via the screw style clamp. The flexible shaft is made of metal. The light is bright, and the magnification is good for what I require (small electronics, reading model numbers and soldering. It has survived a month or so of daily use in being cranked around, pushed aside and more delicate fine tuning.I hope to get as long as possible with this LED/Magnifier

Well-made, works well, but one things to consider....
Mine arrived this morning, and I gave it a tryout. It looks well-made, and packaged with a drawstring bag for the lens end and a microfiber wipe. The USB power cable is more than long enough to reach the Anker multi-port charging station on my desktop. I tested it with my main use (soldering), and it works well for that - well-lit and strong enough for me to work.My only wish is that the clamp was deeper. My desktop is butcher block - fairly thick, and the clamp seems to be able to handle another inch or two of thickness beyond that. BUT the depth of the clamp leaves the tips too close to where the bullnose starts - so it doesn't stay put reliably. The top arm part of the clamp is 1-5/8" deep, and the lower disk part of the clamp is about 1-1/4" round but is up against the vertical part of the clamp, not centered relative to the top arm. A full 2" and/or centering of the screw/disk would be better. I'll try mcgyver-ing this later with thin extensions of wood or plastic. I also tried clamping to a shelf above the desk where the clamp works well. But the problem with that is the gooseneck is not strong enough for horizontal mounting and droops down too far. So, if any of this applies to your use case,... caveat emptor. However, this is not a reason to detract from a 5-star rating.

Lighted magnifier
I thought I was doing pretty good until I saw the embroidery under magnification. What a difference. This will really help me with my satin stitch or any stich for that matter. About the only thing I was surprised is the heft of the magnifier. It really needs to be on a table or like I have it rigged to a microphone stand so I can position it where I need it. I kinda rigged it to my hoop holder but it's so heavy I thought I might break something. But for now it works great for me.
