Would this test work for 2 adults a male and a female that live in diferent states?

I'm assuming you're talking about a possible father and an adult possible daughter? Yes, you can use this kit for that. Whoever receives the kit shipment will just need to drop the other participant's testing materials and barcoded sample envelope into the mail and send it to that other participant. Each party does their own DNA samples and sends them in to the lab where they are reunited for testing. My tracking hasn’t said my kit has reached the testing facility after 2 weeks. Should I call the facility?

My kit reached the facility in 3 days but didn't get to a tech for 2 weeks. I would call the facility to see if it got lost.

Do you just need the child and fathers dna? Not the mothers?

Yes. Although the mother's DNA can help strengthen results under certain circumstances, it is usually not required. Should it turn out to be needed, the lab will suspend testing and ask for the mother's samples. We'll then include her in the test at no extra charge.
