Timekettle WT2 Edge W3 Translator Device,Bidirection Simultaneous Translation, Translator Earbuds with 40 Languages, Real time Translator,Fast Reaction with Revolutionary Al Tech, Online Version

The WT2 Edge, being such a new item, I’ve only had a couple of days to use it and become acquainted with it. This is my experience with it so far. First of all, the packaging is beautiful. If you’re familiar with Apple products and their packaging, this rivals it. The set-up was easy. Once I downloaded the timekettle app, it was very intuitive as to how it all got set up. I wanted to be able to use the earbuds offline as well, so I was able to download the Chinese to English offline package. The actual way of doing it was different from what was written in the operating manual, but I was able to figure that out fairly quickly. I love the new sleek look of both the container that the earbuds come in, and the earbuds themselves. The earbuds are smaller than the WT2 earbuds, and fit into the ear perfectly. I felt like I needed to wear the ear adaptor with the WT2 earbuds, but with these, they feel like they stay in the ear with no worries of them falling out. Very comfortable. You hardly notice they’re there. I’ve only used the translation in the simul mode. And it works great!!! Previously, trying to communicate with a Chinese friend of mine, we’ve had to write out messages to each other letter by letter on a phone device. It was so laborious trying to have a conversation with each other. Having these earbuds feels like we’re talking in real time. There obviously is a slight second or two delay when translating, but compared to waiting for a written response, it feels like warp speed. I really feel like I’m having a natural conversation in real time with a person whose language I don’t understand at all, but with these earbuds, that is no longer a problem. We both understand each other perfectly. There were a couple of times when we spoke and no translation happened. Once we spoke up louder, the problem was solved. What a great invention! Looking forward to the next opportunity to have another conversation with it.

These earbuds are a brilliant idea, but not ready to be sold to the consumer. They still require much more alterations to correct their discrepancies. I purchased two sets of these earbuds in early September 2023. I found the volume of the first set to be very low. With the volume adjusted to its maximum level, it was still very low. Another problem I encountered was that they were translating our words and phrases into other words and phrases that were not even close to what we were saying. I contacted Timekettle on a Friday and questioned them on this. I told them I was leaving for Thailand the following Wednesday and purchased these earbuds for that trip. They told me they would look into an expedited replacement for me. They also told me that they are closed on weekends, so it wouldn’t be until Monday before I heard anything about it. It is now October 5 and I have yet to hear from them on this. Be it that I was running out of time, I purchased a second set. Unfortunately, the second set was no better. It was performing exactly the same way as the first set. I wanted these earbuds to work for me and gave them every opportunity to do so, but they failed me in every situation. They failed me in a quiet and also a not so quite restaurant. They failed me while outdoors, and they even failed me in a quiet hotel room. They would commonly translate only a portion of what was said. The biggest problem of all, as mentioned previously is that they would translate words and phrases that were so greatly different from what was said that it was comical. It is good for us that google translate was available. We found ourselves resorting to that every time. We eventually gave up on the earbuds. Additionally, the storage case can be very difficult to open. I struggled with it many times. The buds do not fit well into the ear. I found myself constantly moving them to get as much clarity and volume from them as I could. They move within the ear while in use and require a lot of readjusting. I often found myself cupping my ear with my hand to help me hear what was being said. Be it that I returned the second set as well, I would not recommend purchasing this item. I hope Timekettle can eventually correct these discrepancies, because if they can perfect this item, it would be such an amazing tool for translating conversations.

Really 3.5 I guess. We travel a lot and thought these would be very helpful. Our next trip will be to Japan and I really wanted to at least follow the list of the conversation. I know Japanese is one of the hardest languages for computers to translate, so 70/80% is what I expected and that's about what it does. As long as they don't speak too fast or have overlapping conversation. So, no major disappointment there. At least it prevents my wife from having to translate everything for me. I wouldn't rely on it for any business use. The big problem is the fit. They simply do not want to stay in my ear. I constantly have to push them back in or they slip off every 3-4 minutes. And this is with just sitting on my couch listening to Japanese travel videos to test them out and not moving around. I am actually afraid that I am going to lose them on our trip just walking around. And at over $200, that is a big loss. I am going to have to find some 3rd party to provide a solution for the fit. Rather disappointing on that side. We'll see how it works in different countries later and provide updates on that and the fit.

We are a international company with employees in both the US and EU, we had one dedicated person that would translate between English and Hungarian, Unfortunately our English human translator also lacked a bit in his knowledge of the English language. I looked at various translation products and pinned it down to the Timekettle. We have been evolving with Timekettle as they have produced some really great products throughout the years. Our first product from them was these WT2 earbud translator devise. The fit was great and comfortable, lightweight and had no issues with connecting with my iPhone Bluetooth. The accuracy of the translation was awesome and we really never had any issues with them. Like I said we evolved with them as a company as we continued to purchase there latest and greatest products. We also purchased the Timekettle T1 handheld unit as my colleagues found it a bit more better fit due to the many features like being able to translate a document on the fly and also the plus of using the T1 Translator as a just listen unit where you can just place it on auto mode in case you where just listing and not having a conversation. We then last year purchased there W4 Pro AI Interpreter Earbuds and WOW!!! these for us have been the best ones so far! seamless translation. Overall if your looking for the best translation product in the market, I have done the research and testing for you. You will not be disappointed, I guarantee! they also have great customer service if you need help with the setup. Timekettle really stands buy there products.

This is for the W2 EDGE W3 by Kettle. I was impressed by the claim that it had TWO WAY SIMULTANEOUS translation capability along with other selectable modes 1) SIMUL MODE 2) LISTENING MODE AND 3) SPEAKER MODE... HERE IS THE SCOOP... I TRIED IT WITHOUT WIFI IT IS A SELECTABLE OPTION CALLED "OFFLINE TRANSLATION" YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD A LANGUAGE AND IT ALSO COSTS MONEY... IT COST $10 TO DOWNLOAD SPANISH.. IT SUPPOSEDLY CAME WITH ALL OF THE CHOICES OF DIALECTS...............BUT THE DOWNLOAD DID NOT WORK WHEN I SLECTED OFFLINE TRANSLATION... I DO NOT KNOW WHY.. I DOWNLOADED IT.... AND IT THE OFFLINE DOWNLOADED TRANSLATION DID NOT WORK IN ALL 3 MODES... SO IF YOU ARE STUCK WITHOUT WIFI... DONT EXPECT THIS THING TO WORK....NOW WHAT ABOUT WHEN YOU DO USE WIFI... WELL ,,, i FOUND THAT IT WAS NOT THAT ACCURATE AND i HAD TRIED IT BOTH BY SPEAKING ENGLISH AND BY SPEAKING SPANISH INTO IT ( ACTUALLY INTO THE EARPIECE WHICH PICCS UP YOUR VOICE AS IT SITS IN YOUR EAR.... IT MIGHT SPEW OUT SOMETHING RELATED TO WHAT YOU SAID OR MAYBE NOT EVEN RELATED TO IT.. FOR SOME WORDS IT TOOK MANY TRIES FOR IT TO TRANSLATE WHAT i WAS SAYING ( WHICH WAS MAYBE A 2 WORD PHRASE... IF YOU ASK ME GOOGLE TRANSLATE WORKS JUST AS GOOD FOR NEXT TO NOTHING COST WISE.... WITH THIS UNIT i HAD TO PUT $300 OOUT THIER ON THE LIMB AND HOPE THAT IT MEET MY BASIC EXPECTATIONS... HOWVER IT DID NOT... BY THE END OF THE DAY i WENT BACK TO USING GOOGLE TRANSLATE AND I WISH THAT THEY WOULD GIVEN SOME KIND OF HEADPHONE OUT OR ADAPTER BOX THAT HOOKS UP TO THE PHONE SO TAHT WHATEVER IS BEING SPOKEN BACK THROUGH THE EAR PEIECS CAN BE AMPLIFIED BUT IT DOESN'T MAYBE THE X1 HAS SOMEHING LIKE THAT

These were pretty cool. I like the off-line capabilities of it when I purchase these I was excited to use the real time translation. It was a little iffy when it came to Japanese, but it worked very good with Spanish. I don’t know if it would be worth purchasing these nowadays because there’s more real time AI language technologies out there. But if you wanted something that you can use off-line, I think most of the time you can have a conversation with someone that doesn’t speak your language. It’s pretty cool.

insanely inconsistent and very short battery life. The battery life on this is not as advertise. It trains so fast and it’s very inconsistent with the translation. Sometimes it translates relatively fast and sometimes it doesn’t but sometimes it just straight up doesn’t even translate. Sound quality and portability are both good but it’s not worth this price for something that barely works. Going to try a little more, but most likely returning it. I highly recommend not getting this. UPDATE: look at this viet to english screenshot. I speak viet and was testing it out. I was being asked to donate old clothes to vietnam and its asking about neck pain and ancient army stuff. this thing is just NOT good. i will be returning

These earbuds were very comfortable for me, and I was amazed at how quickly they charged - maybe 20 minutes and were over 80% charged from 5%. I tried to test these out on my own, but I need to speak Spanish better to gauge how well the translation is; however, my girlfriend tried these out, and we could converse pretty easily. The translation takes time to get used to as there is a pause during conversations to ensure the other person hears what was said, but once we got into the mode of pausing for a second or so - all worked as expected. I don't think a faster translation would work due to the background noise of talking interfering with listening, so it is truly a matter of remembering to pause and breathe while the other person listens. Because you can't also hear what is translated when sharing the earpieces, it is difficult to know if the translation did occur. Therefore, it might be nice to have a "ringtone" occur to notify the speaker that the translation has worked. This is 100% better than using Google Translate on my phone directly so far - I'm looking forward to getting a ton of use out of these until one of us can speak the other's language! (After 1 1/2 years, though... who knows when that will happen! ha)

I think this product is excellent for 1 on 1 conversations. Very impressive. There are also amazing listening features and I accidentally discovered i can take minutes with this device by using AI!!! BIG TIMESAVER🤩🤩🤩🤩
