Easy to install. Easy to use. Works as advertised. I recommend this item if it fits your HDMI viewing need. I'm using this device for television screen mirroring ONLY. This device allows me to set up and drive two television screens with one common source. One television screen is in my breakfast dining room and the other television is outside on my patio. The two televisions' locations are separated only by a wall so it was a simple matter to pass an HDMI cable through the wall to the outside television and drive either or both television screens using my single Over-the-Air TiVo as the driving source. That way, I'm able to share the single TiVo's output and enjoy the various TiVo features such as real time rewind on a live Over the Air broadcast on both televisions simultaneously. This is VERY VERY handy on say a live football game broadcast allowing me to do my own instant replay reviews on either or both televisions........ which is exactly why I bought this handy little device in the first place thus making it perfect for my application needs.

I liked the way it seemed heavy-duty and easy to use but i couldn’t bypass hdcp protection to play streaming apps via my phone on a projector, i really dont know why they won’t let us look at things however we want, this is very ridiculous but if you want a good quality splitter this seems fine, it says hdcp bypass however, and im not sure thats true because it wasnt true for my projector with iphone. Thats why it’s 4 stars. Really like three times more expensive than other splitters that maybe do the same thing though. Ive tried like 3 other cheap ones and they all seem to work the same.

After reading the user reviews for the other splitters I decided to go with this unit. I liked that the case was metal instead of plastic and more importantly, that the metal case would aid in cooling (and hopefully, longevity). I've only have the splitter installed for about a month and a half but so far, so good. I'm using this splitter to pass my DVR's output (typically 1080i) to two Panasonic plasma TVs; both are 1080 capable displays. My DVR and a/v receiver for the local TV are connected to the splitter using 6' HDMI cables. The other TV is downstairs in my home and is connected directly to the splitter via a Monoprice 50' Redmere HDMI cable sold here at Amazon. I'm using X10 Powermid Remote Control Extenders to command the DVR when I'm watching my downstairs TV. This splitter does what I need it to do, and it does it well. I'm able to have either or both TVs on at any time and I can turn either one of them off at any time and the other will continue to display video properly. I can't comment fully on the audio capabilities of this unit because I'm sending the audio downstairs to an older a/v receiver via a Toslink cable. I can say though, that the audio for the local TV's a/v receiver is via HDMI and passes through the splitter just fine. The splitter seems to be well constructed. The case is metal with professional looking black text. There are status LEDs for the incoming and outgoing HDMI ports and also for the 5VDC power. All of the connectors feel very solid and don't flex within the packaging. I have the DC power pack plugged into a live AC outlet. The user manual doesn't spec the minimum power consumption for this unit but it must be very low. The case is cool when neither TV is on and warms up only slightly, even after both TVs have being on for a few hours. I would definitely buy this splitter again.

The HDMI splitter works great. One of the outputs goes to my monitor and the other output I have going to a HDMI transmitter.

I run a painting tablet from a laptop which had been working fine (LT Isn't All That (currently on Win-11 Home). But recently the image presented on my tablet started getting worse and worse 'til it reached the point where it was no longer usable. So in a bit of a desperation move I thought 'perhaps' the problem is the signal from the laptop's HDMI Port degrading the image, which turned out to be the case. (as opposed to a tablet snafu) In an attempt to avoid spending any more to fix it than necessary, I purchased this HDMI Splitter and used it as a buffer hoping it would provide a better signal to the tablet as the current signal was simply unusable. So, short story long, the buffering (isolating then amping w/little gain by design) made for the perfect no loss buffer and insta-resolved my formerly unusable signal from LT. Bottom Line: I just got this a day prior to this review but this device resolved all the issues with the signal from LT and I'm now back happily painting again. #Recommended

Device worked for about a week and then caused a motherboard hang. After a reboot I was experiencing monitor flashing. I attempted to reboot into bios but flashing was occurring every few seconds and I couldn't check bios for any settings problems. I removed the splitter and the flashing was gone. AI recommended throwing the cheap splitter away and not replacing it as it probably was shorting my 5V supply line interfering with my HDMI and UPS backup USB port monitoring. The UPS had attempted a shutdown and the mother board shut of power but could not reset properly and hung because the 5V supply was in a bad state requiring a power cycle. AI warn that it could cause motherboard 5V PCB traces to overheat and burn preventing any thing requiring 5V to permanently stop working(USB,HDMI...) I didn't want to take chance and bought an inexpensive multiple HDMI PCIE card and cloned with windows to effectively make a HDMI splitter.

I’ve been finding a splitter for my streams since my monitor only has 1 HDMI port and this works amazing! I plugged in my ps 4 into the input and split the output to my monitor + laptop for OBS and it works amazing!!!

Je l'ai acheté afin de pouvoir capturer des images de ma PS3 avec un Elgato Game Capture 4K X, cette dernière ayant une sécurité HDCP, la capture est "impossible" mais ce boîtier fonctionne bel et bien afin de contourner cette sécurité et filmer son écran PS3

I am using to replicate two TV and working fine. No problem in quality of sound and picture. Great product.
