Are these suitable for outdoor landscape lighting use?

I use them in a waterproof housing under water in a water feature in our back deck. I think general outdoor use would depend more on the housing than on the bulb itself.

It is an incandescent bulb, so yes, it should be dimmable.

Can this be used in my lava lamp? next to where the bulb is inserted it says to use g4 120v 35w type bulbs. thanks in advance.

No. The Vstar bulb is 12 Volts not 120 volt. Check that the base of a replacement bulb is the same base as the original in the lava lamp.

Does anyone know the kelvin on these? are they bright white or horrible yellow?

Sorry, no idea what the Kelvin rating might be but the light they give off is bright white.
