Next Best Thing To Chewing Live Barley
I used to use "Micro Ingredients Organic Barley Grass Juice Powder" long ago. Then the price went up. So I used another brand. Then I got sent a tiny bag, so I used it. Up until this day, I had been using 1/4 cup of the other light colored barley brand (see the photo), and I could barely taste it. Well today I mindlessly scooped out 1/4 cup into my protein shake like every day...but it was Micro Ingredients Organic Barley Grass Juice Powder this time. Wow! With that quantity, the smell of fresh barley went from my mouth, and up and through my nostrils with each swallow. The taste was very much barley...but then I wasn't supposed to add 1/4 cup to my protein shake. For a few hours I felt full, which my protein shake never did before. Perhaps 1/4 cup needed 5 stomachs...okay, maybe not. I was just fine, but I did get the impression I just drank nutrition, whereas my prior barley was mostly dead in comparison.

I bought for my heavy metal detox and now also use as a supplement for my cats meals. They love it and there are no additives like pet brands put in their product. Which is such a shame. So glad I can use this for them and me.

Barely Green Grass the Superfood Giant!
I have been using Barely Green Grass juice for quite sometime. It was recommend in a book I read called the Medical Medium. Barley Grass Juice Powder is rich in vitamins A, C, B and minerals iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus. It is also very high in absorbable protein and contains 20 amino acids, including 8 of the essential amino acids that body can’t produce itself. Barley Grass Juice Powder contains the enzymes fatty acid oxidase, cytochrome oxidase, peroxidase, catalase and transhydrogenase which help the decomposition of fats in the body proceed smoothly, helping to balance body weight(taken from the Medical Medium Blog). It is also high in Cholorphyll and is good for removing toxins and heavy metals. I use it in my Superfood smoothies, which I change around quite a bit, but always have my green grass powder. Its also sweet enough so my six year old drinks it in his smoothies, which he drinks with a little bit of convincing.
