Oracoat FreshMelts Stick-on Melts Freshener for Breath, Arctic Mint 60ct

I LOVE these! As a photographer I can get up close and personal with people, and I also have major caffeine addiction, so I initially got these to be less self conscious of my breath. They work great and last a really long time. I also found that if I’m tempted to start some mindless snacking at the end of the night I can put one of these in and it stops the cravings, keeps my taste buds occupied and I don’t want to waste a mint so I don’t snack! My husband also uses them with his sleep apnea mask and really likes how he isn’t waking up with a sore throat and dry mouth.

I got Covid at he very beginning, before the pandemic was even announced, and it left me with a few symptoms that have never fully gone away even now over six years later. One of them is horrible nighttime dry mouth. These lozenges have been an absolute godsend and keep me from waking up 3 times a night in pain from how dry my mouth would get. They taste like peppermint, like any other basic mint you'd have. When you first start using them it is really intense for a couple of nights and tingles your gums, but the sensitivity will go away after a few nights, especially if you put the lozenge in the same spot every time. They last about 5-6 hours for me, I usually wake up at some point and put in a second when the first one has fully dissolved, but YMMV. They stick really well, though the do move a bit, I wake up with them on my teeth instead of my gums very often. Sometimes you can nudge them back into place and it stays adhered, but sometimes they pop off. They adhere very quickly when you first put them in, just wait at least a minute after putting one in before you drink any water, sometimes that prevents them from sticking.

These mints stick on the inside of your mouth and last at least 45-60 minutes of freshness. I like that they stay put. There is no burning or uncomfortable taste, just a mild peppermint flavor!

Unlike the other products, this was a disappointment. Cons: it tastes chalky and the mint is too sharp to taste fresh it tends to break up as I extract it from the packaging it doesn't last as long as the bottled mints, about 1/2 hour at best it has an icky aftertaste pros: it's cheaper

This is a good product, not perfect! They fit most comfortably on the outside of the molars. Unfortunately they don't always melt there. They melt the best and keep mouth moistest if you put them inside the incisors or under the tongue. Under the tongue they don't adhere and sometimes burn the tongue. On the inside of incisors they melt a lot faster and a second one is needed for more than 3 or 4 hours. The worst case is when you have them on the back molars and they don't get or generate enough saliva to completely melt no matter how long it's in. It leaves your mouth coated in minty scum and crust. The work properly or passably about 60% of the time. Although not perfect it's a very useful product for extreme night time dry mouth. For daytime use her the non-adhesive type.

Unlike others, I prefer these to the Zylimelts. I like the fact that the flavor is stronger and it's a good mint flavor. it has a little bit of a zing to it but it hasn't hurt my mouth. I find that these give me a better mouth feel than either Zylimelts or the Rite Aid brand which is what I was using before. I chose Rite Aid over Zylimelts because they had a better flavor and mouthfeel and were less expensive the Zylimelts, which left a scummy film in my mouth. Zylimelts are bit larger too & they hurt my mouth from their hard edges & size. Zylimelts leave a yucky coating in my mouth but didn't moisturize anywhere near as well as either Rite Aid or these Freshmelts. These have a lower height & more rounded edges so they don't hurt as much as the others. Fresh melts are also less expensive than the other two. Mostly Zylimelts had difficulty melting because they just don't moisturize well. Even my 99 year old Mom preferred Rite Aid over Zylimelt. Sadly she passed away before I discovered these wonderful FreshMelts. Personally I would suggest if this flavor is too strong for you, see if they come in another flavor, or try the Rite Aid brand of Zylimelts, called "oral care dry mouth discs" in mint flavor also available here on Amazon. They don't have as rounded a top edge as OraCoat's 2 products but they definitely moisturize better than Zylimelts, in my opinion & I think they come in another flavor too. FreshMelts definitely have the most mit flavor, thanks to the mint oil in them, which is what irritates some people. I haven't had that issue & prefer the tingle & freshness, which makes these much better for daytime use as well & lasts longer than Pur mints or Therabreath's dry mouth lozenges (tho sensitive mouths avoid their mandarin mint, it's extremely zingy, maybe even acidic, at least even I only use if out of everything else because of how strong the zing is - which is probably why they were so much cheaper than other flavors. Ha ha. Time before I got another flavor & while tingly, wasn't bad. For Nighttime however, nothing beats the adhesive disc melts. I vote Freshmelts best for good strong flavor, best comfort/size profile & also cheapest, always a plus for me!

I really wanted this to work since it's so much cheaper than the xylimelts. I have Sjogren's Disease, which makes it so I can barely work, so money is very tight for me. My Sjogren's gives me night time dry mouth. I tried to sleep with them in my mouth and it didn't make my dry mouth better at all, and the entire night sleeping it tasted like gasoline was in my mouth. At first it tastes minty, but once it starts breaking down it's awful. I woke up more than I would have with just my dry mouth. I do not recommend this product at all. I guess I'm going back to those expensive a** xylimelts, and I wasted my money! 😡

After months of searching for help with halitosis due to dry mouth, medications and tonsil stones, I finally found a product without any (xylitol) and....IT WORKS!!! My mouth is moist and fresh. I am absolutely thrilled with this product. It works beautifully and has given me my confidence back.

I love these things. I find that the non-xylitol ones work better than the Xylimelts and they have the perk of being cheaper too! They stick on well and are really quite minty. I put one in at bedtime and it helps with dry mouth overnight (and lasts longer than the xylimelts for me). Same company but I definitely think these are the better choice!

These are fantastic. Literally lasts 3 hours. Mouth has that freshly brushed taste. It’s also helped with my acid reflux. Highly recommend this product

Good for a fresh mouth.

Work well

For someone who suffers from constant dry mouth due to medication, these work very well. I thought it was kind of odd that you stick it to your teeth but it stays put and you don’t know it’s there.
