I’m 64 years old with dry skin. I just stared my skincare journey a few years ago and have tried countless items. I am a minimalist that has been looking for effective and affordable products. I have narrowed my items to the few that really work for me and this PKY essence toner is an absolute staple, I have repurchased if several times and have no plans to stop. I really like that it has minimal ingredients and is cost effective. Most of all though is how hydrated it makes my face and neck feel!! The texture is slightly thicker than most toners, it absorbs nicely, without stickiness. It makes my face feel like it’s had a luxurious spa treatment! I do have severe dry eye syndrome and this does not bother me at all. I do carefully apply to my orbital area without issue. My holy grail routine is cleanser (Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser or CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. I use both), this PKY essence toner, CosRX 6 peptide toner, CeraVe spf (AM), Tretinoin and CeraVe (PM).

Perimeno screwed up my skin and I developed terrifying skin sensitivities, and I’m pretty sure many were in large part driven niacidamide in everything Korean, but mainly from Medicube products. On top of that I developed rosacea, so things that worked for me before—simple things like castor oil—started causing extreme troubles. So I needed a drastic reset and so I got this essence and PYs cleansing foam. I love this multifunctional essence—it’s the foundation of everything I put on my skin. I’ll skin flood with it, and after azalaeic serum, I’ll splash a few drops to dilute the PY sleeping mask which I love as a moisturizer or a few drops to lighten Illyoon as a night barrier cream. Or a few drops of the PY ampoule which I haven’t figured out how to use properly and is thick and goopy. I did actually also figure out a remedy for the demodex (a few drops of neem in the Banila cleansing balm). My skin looks great. PY restored my faith in Korean skincare which I’ve just been annoyed at because every single thing is loaded with niacidamide.

This toner was a bit above my budget to try out randomly, but when it went on sale I decided to give it a go. First use - drastic difference. In the summer heat my sensitive skin has been getting stripped even after using another toner and doubling down on light moisturizer (regular moisturizer in the summer breaks me out). Upon first application, this toner created a moisture barrier on my skin that dried quickly and eliminated the feeling of tightness and irritation. I followed it up with my light moisturizer and that was that. No smell, no stickiness, no balling up. Apply immediately after washing to slightly damp skin so that the maximum amount of moisture is locked in. I think this works best for people whose skin is already dry and they need an extra layer to build up the moisture barrier in their skincare routine. If you are using heavy weight creams regularly, this toner may not make as big of a difference.

This is my favorite toner! My skin feels hydrated and healthier when I use it. It feels nice and cooling on my skin. I use it daily in the morning and the evening.

So glad I discovered this toner. It's light, non-sticky, and my skin absolutely loves it. Perfect hydration. If every product seems to have comedogenic effect on your skin, this one won't.

I love this toner been using it for years. Great for your skin, fast absorption. I got this at a at a good deal, but then it expires at the end of the year.

Diese zwei Flaschen sollte ihr euch zulegen. Ich hatte vorher einen anderen Toner,aber dieser ist noch besser. Vor allem wenn man früh aus dem Bett kommt, erfrischt und entknittert das Gesicht....so sehe ich das, auch wenn mein Gesicht schon mehrere Falten hat.

Hilfe für meine Neurodermitishaus bei akutem Brennen und Jucken. Benutze es auch auf der Kopfhaut. Hilft mir sofort!!!!

Zurück zu den Basics! Aktuell sind ja Toner beliebt die super viele Effekte gleichzeitig erzielen sollen und oft auch teuer sind. Dabei sollte ein Toner in erster Linie eines können: Feuchtigkeit spenden. Das allein bringt bereits viele positive Nebeneffekte wie straffere Haut, schöneren Hautton etc...vieles kommt oft nur von einer dehydrierten Haut. Und speziell im Winter oder für Leute mit sehr dehydrierter Haut möchte man etwas, das man täglich auftragen kann und wenn notwendig auch 2x hintereinander ohne dass man auf den Preis achten muss. Und das kann der Essence Toner von Pyunkang Yul gut! Am liebsten kaufe ich den im 2x 200ml Pack, das reicht je nach Hauttyp und Einsätzen (nur morgens oder morgens+abends) für 1-2 Jahre.
