Essential Tool for Harness Assembly - Super Thin Double Sided Adhesive Tape 1 Inch
I recently incorporated the Super Thin Double Sided Adhesive Tape 1 Inch into our manufacturing process, particularly in conjunction with the WNIE Corp braiding machine, and I must say, the results have been outstanding. Here’s a detailed review of how this tape has become an indispensable part of our assembly line, especially for creating engine connector harnesses.Adhesive Quality and Performance: The double-sided adhesive tape offers exceptional adhesive quality that is crucial for our applications. The tape is designed to be super thin, which is perfect for our needs, as it does not add bulk or interfere with the fit of the harnesses we manufacture. Its ability to stick firmly to surfaces ensures that there is no slippage during the braiding process.Compatibility with Braiding Machine: We use the WNIE Corp braiding machine to braid wires that form part of the harnesses for engine connectors. This machine is known for its precision and efficiency. The double-sided tape plays a crucial role by holding the base of the wires securely, preventing any movement as the braiding machine does its work. Once the braid is initiated, it latches onto the double-sided tape, effectively covering it and ensuring that the braid remains tightly in place without any shifts or gaps.Application in Engine Connectors: In the context of engine connectors, maintaining a secure and stable braid is vital due to the vibrations and movements that engine parts typically endure. The double-sided tape ensures that the braid does not unravel or loosen, thereby enhancing the durability and reliability of the connectors. This stability is critical for preventing electrical failures or disconnections that can arise from loose wiring.Ease of Use: The tape is very straightforward to apply, which speeds up our production process. Its thin profile makes it easy to handle, and it adheres quickly and firmly to both the wires and the braiding material. The peel-off backing is also easy to remove, which is a small but significant convenience on a busy production floor.Overall Impact on Production: Since integrating this double-sided adhesive tape into our production line, we’ve noticed a marked improvement in the efficiency and quality of our harness assemblies. The reduction in slippage has minimized waste and rework, which in turn has optimized our throughput and product quality. Conclusion: If you are involved in the manufacturing of wire harnesses, especially for applications requiring high levels of precision and stability like engine connectors, the Super Thin Double Sided Adhesive Tape 1 Inch is highly recommended. It supports complex assembly processes by ensuring components stay in place, ultimately contributing to the production of high-quality, reliable products. This tape has not only met but exceeded our expectations, making it a valued addition to our assembly operations.

Versatility, hold, ease of use are great
I use this tape to adhere twine, just, and string to other objects like plastic and glass. It works so much better than I thought it would. Humidity doesn't appear to affect it. It sticks and allows other items to stick to it. It saves me from using glue on so many craft projects.

An easy way to get the backing off of this tape!!!
For starters, I’m not sure I would call this “tape” if you’re looking for something with sticky stuff on both sides; this item is the sticky without anything between. 3M calls it “film” and offers a variety of options as to stickiness. I’ve professionally used one of their films that was so sticky that the moment it made contact with a surface it was as good as welded! No joke… But don’t worry. This product will pretty much hold any smooth surfaces together AND it’s very forgiving and reversible. And much more affordable. One reviewer recommended using alcohol for cleanup. My solvent of choice is Ronsonol Lighter Fuel [the liquid kind, for wick lighters.] It’s also handy for a lot of cleaning purposes plus it evaporates quickly. Some users have mentioned that it’s hard to separate the film from the backing surface. Here’s an idea that has worked for me: first, cut the film to your desired length(s) and, second, place them where you want, leaving the release paper on the film. Now, how to get the backer off of the film? Here’s the trick, and it’s easy to do…Many years ago, before I retired, I built custom furniture. One of best go-to tools for removing unwanted dried glue was a small, single-edged razor blade scraper. Not one of those big cumbersome paint scrapers that are much, much TOO BIG!It seems like all the razor scrapers are meant for paint removal. But lo and behold I found one that is EXACTLY like my 30 year-old. Different brand, different color of plastic, but otherwise identical to mine. Amazon sells it. It’s the Stanley 28-100, 1-3/16” High Visibility Mini Razor Blade Scraper and it’s super safe: when not in use just release the button and reverse the blade in the holder. Not only is it safe but you’ll never need to look for a razor blade again… it’s right there in the tool! Now the trick…Place the tool on the project and tip it forward until the edge of the blade barely touches the surface. Start on a corner and slowly push it forward a little to raise the corner a bit. Now, feel the backer and the surface. See, one of the challenges to using films is they are so thin you can’t see them; you need to go by feel more than sight. If at first you leave the film and backer stuck together just push them back down on the surface. With very little practice you’ll learn the best pressure to use to separate them cleanly and quickly. Ta-da…I’ve found this film to be very effective on the proper surfaces: it doesn’t fill gaps but on clean, smooth surfaces it’s great. It’s so thin it leaves NO VISIBLE GAPS - it’s that thin. In my experience this product is durable, easy to use, looks great, and with a little practice even kinda fun.I hope this review will be helpful to anyone that’s thinking about using this film and might feel daunted about the “how” of it all. THANX!!!

Incredibly strong
Stickiness of this tape is amazing. This tape has the strongest adhesive I've ever run across on anything that's supposed to stick. I use it to secure stock on my milling machine, either on the aluminum bed or an acrylic spoilboard. Clean surfaces first with 91 percent isopropyl alcohol and it holds stock so well that in most situations it's very difficult to pry the finished parts off. I measured the adhesive layer to be exactly 0.001" thick. I found that a few drops of alcohol put around the stock will seep into that tiny gap and emulsify the adhesive and the part will lift off easily. Since alcohol dissolves the tape cleanup is a breeze. I've machined ABS, acrylic, and aluminum plate using this tape and had no stock movement during milling. It holds better than the old two layer blue tape trick with crazy glue, and the super thin adhesive layer doesn't gum up the tip of your bit like the blue tape does.If you're milling wood using MDF as a spoilboard and the MDF surface is slick, this tape will hold your wood during milling with no slippage.

“Perfect for Crafts: Thin, Clear, and Truly Sticky”
Very thin but strong adhesion — The tape sticks firmly to both sides without adding bulk, making it ideal for card‑making, scrapbooking, gift wrapping, and attaching lightweight decorations.

Not as sticky as I had hoped
Wanted to use them to adhere mood lighting in my office... but over time the elements started 'oozing' out of place.
