I got it back in 2020 and it’s 2023…
And the frame still intact, no issues, no noises, no problem. Great purchase, would buy again

Sturdy And Easy
I have the single and double size of the mattress platform frame; they do a great job. The mattresses stay in place, very comfortable, easy to move and high enough to easily vacuum underneath.

Pretty sturdy
Its was a nice price point. I was worried after reading a few reviews that it wouldnt last or be sturdy enough. I weigh around 200 pounds and the same goes for my fiance. It at this point has lasted us over 3 years and counting. It has shown no signs of breaking or bending.

The strength of Hercules handles the passions of a thousand suns
Incredibly easy to set up. Very stable. I'm a big boy and a voracious lover. This thing is a heavy weight and stands up to all of the punishment that I can dole out. I've hammered this thing relentlessly several times a week for a couple months now and it isn't showing any signs of wearing down. When a man of with my aggressive prowess tests it out for an extended period of time, you can be assured you are purchasing a high quality item. I can't say enough about the ability of this frame to absorb punishment. We have a king size casper mattress on top of a tempurpedic base. The memory foam mattress absorbs the majority of the havoc that my partner and i produce, but the sheer brute force of our tidal wave of effervescent excitement would lay waste to a weaker structure. We bought this as a replacement for a traditional wooden setup that we had previously. That frame was destroyed as a direct result of my uncompromising approach to the performance of my required duties. If you are a man (or woman) that knows no restraint.... if you are a person of unbridled passion... If your exuberance has broken or damaged bedroom furnishings in the past... The Hercules Platform is for you!Update June 11, 2017: Well, it's been over a year and I still love the Hercules. I had a problem with my Achilles and my knee which resulted in an extended period of zero exercise. Unfortunately, my diet didn't change and I put on about 20 LB. Let me tell you something... Even with the extra weight, the Hercules still handles everything I throw at it. And believe me, I throw a lot at it, if you know what I mean. I keep expecting the frame to give in... but it isn't compromised in the least. We broke another headboard recently, but Hercules stayed true. Things got a little out out hand one night when a couple of friends joined us unexpectedly. I can't really explain exactly what happened in this space, but suffice it to say that the headboard punctured the sheet rock, snapped in half and left a nasty gash in the hard wood. Yet the Hercules still stands. Defiant and Strong. Never flinching no matter what abuse is heaped upon it. I will check back in another year and let you know if it's still holding up. We have kind of gotten into a new thing recently that is really going to test it's limits.

Good base for a memory foam mattress
Update:bought in January of 2015, it's now Sep of 2018, and this thing is still doing great. Just have to tighten the wing nuts and bolts every so often.I bought the king version of this, and it's worked out quite well. I'm using it under a 12" memory foam mattress. If yours is shipped like mine, with no instructions and the bolts and spacers rolling around loose in the box, be aware that you bolt the two sections together with the plastic spacers keeping the left and right halves apart a bit (which helps keep it from squeaking). The angled supports underneath mean you don't get the full space under the bed to store stuff, but there's still plenty of room, although it's high enough that unless you use a bed skirt you'll be able to see stuff that is close to the edge. Speaking of bed skirts: this frame is a few inches less in length and width that a regular box spring, so when we tried a bed skirt, it dragged on the floor and bunched up and looked not so good (and impeded the air flow of the vent under our bed), so we're now trying to get used to it without one. I've thought of trying to use clips or magnets to make it work right, but I haven't tried that yet.It seems like this frame has lots of pointy ends that would catch on the mattress, but it hasn't been an issue. It was very quiet at first, silent, but is starting to squeak a little bit; I'm going to take the mattress of of it and make sure the bolts are tight and everything is spaced out as it should be (will pick up the foot end and let it back down so that anything that was angled might be flat again). And it's not even loud, just not silent as when first set up.I'm glad to go with no box spring and anything like that, as most of the rest of the world does. The less I can pay to the mattress-industrial complex and their wicked ways, the better.

Why didn't I get one sooner?
*Update: after a painless one form warranty process, Classic brands sent me a whole new unit. It took a bit longer to arrive as it came from their factory instead of a regional amazon distribution centre, was about 10 days, but whatever, I was able to continue using the broken one by forcing the broken one so my mattress didn't get damaged. It works, it's sturdy, and I haven't had any problems since. They stand behind they're warranty!Disclaimer: While initially very impressed, after three weeks one of the welds failed and one of the supports has broken off. That leaves 10 out of 12 functional feet. This is not good as it needs all 12! Sadly I can no longer recommend this and there is no way to return or process this under warranty.Disclaimer aside, I'm very pleased with this frame. I searched for traditional frames and bedroom sets, having had my king mattress on the floor for 9 months, and could not put together a solution less than $400.My requirements were simple:* It had to be on legs: I live in a basement, humidity becomes a problem when there's ground contact. The height of this is perfect, good to get in and out of, and perfect for the more intimate pursuits.* It had to be affordable: @ $160cdn with next day shipping, this frame was the cheapest option around.* It had to be sturdy: I'm a big guy, between my boyfriend and I we clock in and nearly 480lbs, plus the king mattress. This frame supported that no problem, inducing the more intimate pursuits.* It had to be easy to move: The highest point of entrance into our basement is 6'5", a traditional box spring was out, I was looking at dual twin xl's at $150 a piece, plus $120 for a basic support frame. This came in a 3ft box. It wasn't very heavy either, my roommate with chronic back problems was able to bring it in the house and into the basement with no issues.* It had to be easy to assemble: I'm in a temporary location, I'll be moving the bed in 4 months, then again in a year or two, portability was a must, this will fit into the back of any hatchback, was super lightweight and dead simple to assemble. A Philips screwdriver and pair of pliers made it tight and solid, but you could honestly do this all by hand with noting. This thing is solid and doesn't shift with the mattress on it (on my carpeted floor). Yet to move the whole bed a few feet, two of us could do it with minimal effort, smaller frames might even be movable by one person (a king is 79inches square so...)I like the height, the sturdiness, the easy of assembly and the price. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

4/5 So far so good...
This would have received a 5 star rating, but had 3 concerns:1) missing screw/bolt (had to go out to the hardware store to buy missing butterfly style bolt, which is rather annoying given the price paid & didn't feel like waiting for a replacement part from Amazon).2) it was a very rainy day the day of delivery and the box was left lying on my driveway. I'm pretty sure rain + cardboard + metal frame = bad combo. Luckily my neighbour was able to bring the box in to my garage.3) everything seems great so far (as bedframes usually are in the beginning-& trust me, we have gone through many frames, as my hubby is a large man & often the kids are in the bed and the dog- so there's quite a bit of weight being put on the frame). My concern is the rods supporting (attaching) the frame to the legs-- they look suspiciously weak. Everything else looks like solid metal, but these rods look like they may give way over time. But let's see! It's been a few weeks & so far so good. The frame was very easy to assemble (aside of that missing piece), came as 2 seperate frames that attach together. And the metal king frame fit easily in our existing king bed frame (with some minor adjustments). This was nice as I had really wanted to keep our original bed frame (the original supports with the original wooden bed frame broke, hence why we needed a new, hopefully stronger, metal bed frame).I chose the taller metal frame to ensure it would: a) fit in our existing bed frame and b) be able to clean & store stuff under the bed if needed. The only thing with the taller metal frame, plus box spring, plus mattress, is that we have a very high bed right now! I don't really mind & I suppose the box springs could be removed.Another note about this metal frame (& I recall reading this in other reviews) is that there is nothing to stop a mattress from sliding off, we have another wooden bed frame around it, so we're ok, but I can see how it may be an issue for those who use this bed frame alone on a regular basis.I will definitely post in a few months with a status update on the bed frame, as we are on a quest for the strongest king bed frame..

BEST EVER FRAME SUPPORT FOR APARTMENT LIVING, SMALL SPACES AND ANYONE WHO MOVES OFTEN
3 years of use update:Still amazing, perfect as previously reviewed. Looking to get anotherJust put this together, and it is amazing! Easy and simple to put together. Its a comparatively lightweight support system which at least so far does not squeak or feel unstable. I am crazy pleased. I was worried about the height being too low without a box spring and no such worry. Its higher than traditional basic open frame bed frames + box and mattress.I live in an apartment and not only could I take navigate it by myself into my bedroom through stairwell and narrow turns, it packs up fairly small. Splits into two single cot size frames, I feel like if I was to even get a different bed I could easily keep this as a guess spare with roll out mattress or blow up and if not its such a great product the used re-sale would easily be over half its new purchase value (in my province theres no frames similar to this available) I also felt I got amazing bang for my buck as when I priced open basic bed frames they were all in the range of 70-140 dollars new and you'd have to have a boxspring with mattress. By skipping a box spring and getting this fully supported frame I was able to get a better quality mattress with my savings and have ample storage under the bed for apartment living.Benefits I've seen so far with having this Frame & Mattress over traditional open frame + Boxspring & Mattress:- Better bang for your buck, as it was only about 40 bucks more on average then the common basic open bed frames- Appears to be sturdy and non squeaking- Saved on Box spring cost- High supportive bed- Open storage area beneath bed- Extremely easy set up- Comes apart easily and stores easily- Very few parts to lose, the only few items you could lose( Like bolt or wing screws) look easily replaced at any hardware store if you did leave it apart and then wanted to put it back- Splits into to cot frames (queen size)- Sturdy design- Easy to move from room to room, or disassemble- Requires no tools- Extremely reasonably prices- Fast shipping- Great for space saving- Without a box spring helps with Dust allergies and potential mold growing in underside of boxspring, has great airflow with a higher frame- Without a box spring my cats can't dig into the underneath of the box and wear on the box spring, there is only a mattress- Looks great- I expect if I ever wished to change beds to a different size/frame the design and benefits are so numerous it would have excellent resale value- It was free shipping!Love this product, my only question is if I can get a head board on it

Extra support for us big boned people
Whether you are a family of five looking to read a story together or a swinger looking for something that won't break while having some leisure time this frame has got your back, and your family or friend's backs as well.I had initially wanted something with storage, but they only hold up to 500lbs and that is including the mattress weight. I had visions of my daughter having all her friends jump on the bed at once and hearing a big crack. So I searched and found this extra supportive frame. I then bought zippered storage bags in place of drawers and added a skirt to hide the frame. I used the box as extra protection between the frame and my new mattress. The only draw back is dust bunnies seem to gather under there. But there is ample room to get under and clear said bunnies out. The dog as you can see in the photos was super inquisitive as to what may be lurking under the bed frame.

Sturdy and practical bed frame
This bed frame is quickly installed and seems to be very sturdy. It folds neatly for transporting and storage.I have added a wood frame to hold the mattress in place and slats for better mattress support. Although this is not necessary, it was recommended by the mattress supplier. The pine boards are mounted with carriage bolts and wing nuts using existing holes in frame. Boards were purchased locally and slats were ordered through Amazon.
