Turns out crumbling gearshift buttons are common on Verano/Cruze levers (and whatever other models use the same thing). But I was delighted to find this for only $15! If I had taken it to a shop, just imagine how much more it would have cost. It is a CINCH to install. As far as removing the old, broken one, don't be afraid: you'd think you will break something, but you won't. Just grab that thing and YANK it off the column while wriggling it back and forth. You won't break anything; trust me. Installation is as simple as it gets! Just slide the new one on until it stops, then give it a gentle "pop" with your fist (or less gentle, if it didn't work the first time), and on it goes. Pull up the "skirt" (the whole center console trim) and put a THIN zip-tie around the leather, but make sure it goes into that "groove" that the beautiful new knob you just bought has. (I say this because I missed it the first time, grrrr) It looks perfect, and works perfectly. $15 vs. $150 (or more) to have a shop do it? That's a no-brainer for me!

My shifter in my Buick Verano 2013. Broke so I had to screwdriver my way into the base to drive. I’m super glad that for $15 I could replace it and it’s as good as new. The leather part I fixed up with a zip tie and works good enough for me. Took like 15 minutes for my husband to install. Great purchase!

I have a 2015 Buick Verano. When I first bought it, I had to return it due to some small tears on the leather.. but, it's probably me just being picky. Thought it would not last, so, I asked for a replacement. Go the new one and it was perfect. Very similar to the original knob of my car that broke. It's the first time I changed it. Very happy with the purchase.. will see how long it lasts..

Really liked this gear shift stick. It was exactly like the original version we had in our car. After watching a mechanic on YouTube demonstrate how to remove and replace the gear shift. It took my husband no time to remove the old gear shift and install the new one.

The knob has a good quality look. It's easy to install; you have to twist and pull hard at the same time in order to remove it. I recommend it.

Be careful not to follow some of the You tube videos that require undoing the pedestal or removing the plastic ring. Just pull down the skirt under the knob and lift up hard. It comes off, just like that! Line up the new knob and shove down hard until it clicks! That's It!!!
