worked
Fits standard sized membranes, and never had any problems with this.

Good value membrane housing but you must purchase a check valve fitting and flow restrictor in many cases for new installations
This is a worthy replacement RO membrane housing that is designed to house the very typical membrane cartridge found in residential systems. However, I cannot stress enough that 1//8" NPT, 1/4" tube fittings are required and most importantly a check valve or in other words a backflow preventer is installed on the product (clean) water port. A flow restricter must be installed on the raffinate (dirt water exit) port. I replaced a housing and it went very well, was inexpensive and quick to effect. This housing did not leak and the ports were threaded adequately to accept fittings as required. The interior finish, tolerences were not excellent but adequate to seal against the membrane cartridge as my product water quality TDS is 9 and the feed water is 165 so it all works nicely.

No tubing connections.
Housing is great price but do wish the connections came with it. Didn't realize that I would need to purchase them separately... Bummer....delayed my installation by 4 days.

thought these were good but....
ok, bought 2 of these as i like to have spare parts around. I bought 1/8 to 1/4" elbows and elbows with check valves. I replaced all the connectors with new and put a new membrane in and was ready to go. The first housing i tightened by just my fingers till i couldn't turn anymore. Connectors had teflon tape i put on them. I turned the water on and a small spray was coming from somewhere. It was super fine. I found that it was the membrane end that has the single inlet. I used a wrench to give it a bit more turn, but i noticed the wrench can just turn without stopping. Basically the threads didn't fit the 1/8 connector. So i grabbed the 2nd housing, i grabbed a new elbow, decided to just go till it was snug. As soon as i turned on the water, the pressure made this same area (the cap side with single inlet) started leaking again. So i removed that elbow and put it on my old housing and no leak, and it tightened till i couldn't turn it anymore meaning the threads work. So i guess there's a reason these are cheap.

They work
These are used on my Maple Syrup Reverse Osmosis system and they work well. I used clip on mounting bracket and while it is easy to get them off the mounting board, it is hard to get them apart. Need to find the correct wrench with a slit since tubes are connected to top and bottom. But it works.

Leaks
I use this housing to hold a reverse osmosis membrane to help process sap into syrup. It seems to be a little temperamental. Sometimes it leaks, sometimes it doesn't. I have 4 of them and they all act the same. My system runs at 110 psi. The leaks all come from the seal. A slow dribble for a day, then no dribble for a day.

it is a good product but should have bought at local water store
the item from this seller is good and send it very quick... excellent service. however, i found out that the local water store has the same item with the same price. I should have got it there instead of going thru the online order.

Great deal
I replaced my existing older housing because I was not sure the filter was going to fit. This worked out better because it is inexpensive and I did not have to clean old housing.
