I never leave reviews but I had to because this product did exactly what I wanted. I HATE removing my gelx nails. It is the WORST. I usually end up leaving my nails on way longer than I’d like to because the removal process is so terrible. This has completely changed that for me. Gone are the days of cutting down and soaking for hours. They stayed strong until I was ready for them to come off and removed with little effort and no damage! I am so happy.

Best decision ever. Great for a beginner (me lol). Not glue based so it has a clear color. Smells just like a gel top coat and gel colors stick great to it. No need to buff the nail, all you have to do is an alcohol/acetone wipe to wipe oil on the nails! It does not come off in one piece tho. So far I do have to peel off in pieces but it’s not too bad at all and has not damaged my nails. Takes about 10 mins for me to take off both hands compared to the hour it takes for me to drill and soak one hand. Just make sure to not make it too thin of a coat cause then it will not work, make it too thick and it will come off easy. My nails have lasted almost 2 weeks but that’s just because I peeled it myself! It did not lift or chip. You want a great, cheap peel off for gel, regular, or glitter? I would def recommend this one!

I use this every time I do my Gel X nails. I can get them to last 1 week with this peel off base coat. I like to change my nails weekly so this is perfect for me. There is no long soaking or drilling, they literally just pop off with no damage to the natural nail. If you're looking for easy removal, look no further because this is what you need. This is NOT for longevity or retention, just easy removal.

I waited to do this review until I had done numerous gel manicures with the peel off base. I maintain a hard gel overlay on my natural nails - I never soak or file the overlay completely off, and I use gloves when I'm cleaning or doing dishes, to minimize water exposure. I wanted this peel off base to wear as a barrier between my overlay and my gel polish color, so that I wouldn't need to e-file the polish off. I would say it isn't perfect, hence 4 stars; but being able to scrape off my polish, without having to file off some of my overlay, is a plus. While removal isn't easy at all, that's also good, because it doesn't peel the polish off until I want the polish off. I use a tiny eyeglass screwdriver, begin at the cuticle, and gently scrape the polish; once I get a small purchase under the polish, I use cuticle oil to aid in scraping. ALWAYS SCRAPE TOWARD THE FREE EDGE, NEVER TOWARD THE CUTICLE. You don't want to hurt yourself if the scraper slips. Overall, I will continue using the peel off base between my gel overlay and my gel polish because it helps maintain the overlay without having to file off some of the overlay to get the polish off.

Works fantastic! Obviously not for longer term wear but i do think you could get a good week out of these if you try! Getting the thickness of the layer right will take some getting used to but it works great! Very easy to peel off and if it doesn’t come you just need a little warm water and it’ll pop right off! Very great quality especially for this price! love this product!

Anything that seems too good to be true definitely is. This totally works… You can peel off your gel no problem. And I was able to apply it in such a way that it lasted almost as long as a regular gel, Mani… But it completely ruined my nails. And I have strong nails!You couldn’t see the damage, but it was still there. I used it three times in a row, and my nails were so paper thin they were just bending and ripping and shredding. So now I have to start all over with naked nails for several months to get my nails healthy again. Bummer. Maybe if you wanted to use it over bonding gel it would work for a quick polish changes. But definitely not on your natural nail. I’m not blaming the brand. I’m blaming the concept. You simply can’t peel stuff off of your nails and expect them to be healthy. My bad.

READ IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE WITH DAMAGED NAILS! This was my first peel off base coat so it took a couple of times of trial & error to figure out how to use it best! All tries were with full cover tips and they all lasted a week before I peeled them off! At first I tried regular prep (buff, dehydrate, primer, regular base coat then peel off) and tried the hot/warm water soak off method. It took at least an hour to get all 10 nails off and left some of them damaged so first try was a fail. Second try was buffing and dehydrating, no primer, no regular base coat, used the cuticle oil removal method, still left some nails damaged but was a bit easier. Third try was a thin coat over a builder gel overlay, using gel glue to attach tips, they were easier to peel off with cuticle oil but took the builder gel overlay with them. LAST TRY was the best try; a coat of peel off over builder gel overlay, using peel off to attach full cover tips. This method peeled off SO MUCH EASIER! So for me the best option is builder gel overlay, peel off, peel off as gel glue for tips, removal witch cuticle stick. I hope this helps someone!!!

When it works, it works well. When it doesn't it's a disaster. I used it a few times and the polish peeled right off when it was supposed to. Easy. For the most part, it came off in one piece. The last time I used it, it didn't work. One finger came off, the rest were 90% adhered to my nails and came off in tiny little chips, which was a bit of a disaster because I didn't have any remover to soak them off. It could have been my fault, maybe I didn't put enough on, but it seemed odd that I applied it perfectly on several other occasions, and suddenly I didn't put enough on any of my nails but one. I'd still use it, but I'll definitely make sure I have remover in case it fails.
