I believe there was, but even if there isn’t it’s a simple install. I’m very happy with it.

The kit that includes the bolt and nut is for situations like yours and gives the bolt something to fasten to. Otherwise, any nut from your local hardware or automotive store that fits 1/4-20 threading will work. In either case, it might not hurt to put a bit of Loc-tite on it to keep it from shaking loose over time. If you're asking about hard mounting the nut to the fender itself (i.e. welding, epoxy, JB weld, etc.,) then no, it does not.

your ad says steel bolt but your description says aluminum is say customers are breaking bolts not good for business?
