I've read that the composition of these heavy pots include metals such as nickel, lead, cadmium, and chromium. However, the levels are nor considered to be toxic.

I would have thought so. It's much stronger and heavier than I thought it would be for the price.

Have not actually weighed the pot but it is a solid heavy pot. Older people may struggle to lift the pot when full.
