AstroAI Car Tyre Inflator Air Compressor 12V DC, Digital 160PSI for Mid SUV

I read a lot of reviews before opting for this pump. I never 100% trust reviews, so I still didn't know exactly what to expect. I'm so glad I bought this. Small and neat, easy to use and, believe it or not, reasonably quiet! It was the only one I found that you can run for 20 mins before resting it to cool down, you can wrap up the 12v cable easily back into the pump stowage area and the air line stows neatly around the pump, allowing you to store it back in it's box and neatly in your vehicle. It quickly and accurately bought my tyres up to the correct pressure, only about 4 PSI needed in each, but my spare was down to 35 PSI, should be 55 PSI (VW T4 Transporter) this was easily inflated back to pressure in 4 minutes and auto stopped when done. The valve clip loses some pressure on attachment, but you can detach it, when fully inflated, nice and quickly with no loss of pressure. Metal pump body, so should last and a 2 year warranty. I am very pleased with this purchase, no more hunting for a working air pump at fuel stations and sitting in queues. I remember when 'air' used to be free!!! It is again now for me!! I'm glad I went for this model as I almost bought a cordless, hand held one, with this type, you don't get nasty vibrations in your hand and have to crouch by your tyres whilst inflating them!! If you need a small air pump then I highly recommend this little beauty!!..

Very satisfied with this tyre inflator. It is compact but powerful and inflates the tyres quickly. The cable length is good, and it’s very easy to use. The digital display is clear and accurate, and the automatic shut-off function is very convenient. It doesn’t take much space in the car, so it’s perfect for emergencies. Great value for the money. Highly recommended!

Arrived in good order. Instruction dead easy...N.B you do need to start up the car before checking the tyres. Old compressor failed... as the clip onto the valve had weakened so the pressure blew it off! and the tyre got flatter each time I tried to blow it up. So needed a quick and good replacement. I've only used it once so can't vouch for its longevity but having spent more time than I'd like trawling through reviews from cheap to expensive this seemed to hit the sweet spot . It's light but not flimsy...easily and securely attaches to the valve with the old lever mechanism (had been looking for the newer screw-in coupling but these aren't always well reviewed) and the tyres were as they should be within a few minutes. From 14 to 31 p.s.i. took maybe less than a minute... and inflation stopped where I had set it. You'd need to be a magician to get the wire back into it's storage place , and it wouldn't do the wires much good if you did...but that no big deal unless you're very tidy-minded. It was the same on my previous model : )

As a pretty un-car focussed person, that is, they're pretty much for getting you from A to B, I was surprised to discover I have a TPMS. Even more surprised when it came on! It's a faff trying to do this at a garage, go and get a token etc etc, but I saw someone use a nifty little gadget like this, then just put it in the boot. So, I got this one. Just been down to check all 4 tyres, 3 fine, one to be pumped, as expected, and all done, first time, in less than 10 minutes. I'm happy.

Neat little unit. Not too noisy. Love the quick release and the wiring is of adequate length. Topped-up all four tyres in about 5 mins. Light is a bonus, although I hope not to have to use it in the dark. Wire storage hopelessly optimistic though. Also I would have paid a little more for a simple draw-string bag to keep it in. Overall though I'm very pleased with my purchase and my old manual foot pump has been consigned to the back of the garage.

This is really good, bought it because the inflator at the local garage is always out of order. So we thought we’d give this a go. Very impressed, the tyre was down to 7.5 psi, and needed to be 33 psi. It too the unit about three or four minutes to re inflate to correct pressure, at which point it automatically turns itself off. 5 Stars all day long. Obviously, we will have to see how it does in the long term, but it’s not like your using it everyday, so, so far very happy.

Well constructed and easy to use. The 3m long power cable is a very tight fit, though. I wish this was more of a consideration when this type of pump was designed.

Es gibt wohl eine Menge Schrott auf dem Luftkompressor Markt, aber dieses Teil ist fein. Es schafft einen Reifen in kurzer Zeit (1 Minute oder weniger) auch Drücke von 3,5 Bar und das an allen 4 Reifen (also mit kleiner Pause nach jedem Reifen) ohne warm zu werden. Der Ventilstutzen ist ohne Verrenkung wirklich leicht aufzusetzen und greift das Reifen Ventil fest, kein Abzischen der Luft auch nicht beim Abnehmen. Bin sehr zufrieden damit. Allerdings weiß ich nicht wie das Teil reagiert wenn man 3 Autos nacheinander aufpumpen will, aber dafür ist es ja auch wirklich nicht gemacht. Es erfüllt seine Zweck besser als gedacht.

Llegó cuando me lo programaron y iba en su caja perfectamente. Lo he utilizado de momento en 6 ruedas. Tengo también el inflador , desde hace más de dos años, pequeño de Michelín 009518 Mini compresor digital para coche de 12 V, 3,5 bares 1- No sé cual será la duración por lo que esta parte no puede ser analizada. 2- Es ruidoso pero no escandaloso como el Michelín. 3- Infla 4 veces más rápido que el Michelín (según fabricante unos 22l minuto contra 7 del Mini Michelín) 4- Teóricamente tarda el doble de tiempo en calentarse y desactivarse, en la practica inflando ligeramente 4 ruedas no se había calentado el Michelín esta super caliente al limite. 5- Se desconecta solo al llegar a la presión señalada, el otro debes de pararlo tú al superar en 0.05 lo que deseas. 6- Tiene el cable eléctrico algo más largo y el tubo de aire es de 50cm (contra 10/12) por tanto más fácil de usar. 7- Puede llenar ruedas de alta presión pues alcanza teóricamente los 11 bares (3.5 el otro a unos 3.6 se desactiva). 8- El Michelín es mucho más compacto mide algo menos de la mitad cabe en cualquier rincón. 9-El Michelín tiene puerto de conexión USB para cargar otros dispositivos mientras está conectado, el Astro Ai no tiene eso pero tiene una practica linterna incorporada. En definitiva Michelín 009518 Mini es un inflador que funciona cabe incluso en la guantera y te sacará de un apuro y te ahorrará el tener que ir a una gasolinera y pagar casi seguro por inflar. Te da la presión correcta y te infla las pocas décimas que te falten. Pero si necesitas inflar una rueda casi entera, o necesitas inflar varias o tienes enchufado en un coche e inflas otra cosa como un remolque, o te molesta el ruido excesivo, o necesitas inflar un poco ruedas de alta presión o grandes, entonces sabiendo que no ocupa mucho pero en la guantera no creo que quepa este Astro Ai es más interesante. Ojo el Astroi tampoco sirve para llenar de aire desde cero varias ruedas se calentaría en exceso, pero si puede hacerlo con una, cosa que el Michelín no puede se calienta mucho y se apaga antes.

Brilliant piece of kit. Easy to use and a life saver nowadays as cars often don't get supplied with a spare wheel. You plug it into the cigarette lighter socket and the engine needs to be running to use it. Quick tip - If you are using it on an automatic car - you might need to switch over to manual to keep the engine running while you are out of the drivers seat.
