What is the difference between 5 microns and 1 micron? 1 micron gives better water purification quality?

1 micron filters will remove particles down to 1 micron in size. If that is your only filter, it will clog up faster than using a 5 micron first. Ideally, a two filter system is the best. A 5 micron on the input to the filters followed by a 1 micron.
