Replica Lighters

This lighter is a beautiful replica of Zippo's 1935 design, complete with period-correct art deco graphics on the box. But that's what it is - a replica. If I were a collector of lighters, I wouldn't expect this to increase in value over the years, even if unused in original box. However, especially compared to Zippo's current models, this lighter looks like a piece of jewelry. It' so nice, I almost didn't want to use it. But I am using it, and I find myself treating it with much greater care than my other run-of-the-mill Zippos. The hinge is completely external, which gives the lighter a rugged appearance. The sides are brushed chrome, and the four flat thinner edges are flawless, high polish chrome. This model has slashes on the sides, which gives it a dressy appearance. Also available without slashes, which gives it a more industrial look. The hinge is a three-bar design rather than five as on current designs, which may or may not last longer than current models. I recommend applying a Teflon lube to the hinge occasionally if the lighter sees daily use. The flat edges and square corners may put off some who use the lighter rather than just displaying it, because those features make one-handed opening and closing very difficult...compared to the more modern designs with rounded corners. The thumb slips off the lighter's sharp corner before the lid opens. I've been using Zippos daily since 1968, and this is the only one with which I felt the need to use both hands for opening. That's not a deal breaker for me, but I thought I'd mention it. If you're into performing "Zippo Tricks," this lighter will not work for you.

Zippo 1938 replica... Bad a×× lighter. Great look and quality build. More weight than the less expensive Zippo, worth the extra money. Definitely has the classic Zippo "click"

Loved the frame, size and initial feel. I do like to keep them close and use them from time to time. The original brushed finished is worn out and you can't feel it when you pass your fingers around it, but it performs perfectly.

These are really cool and people always like borrowing it. Good feel and sound.

I really wasn't expecting much only bought it because it was really cheap on sale. Felt very weird and thin cheaper feeling compared to a regular zippo. But I just fell in love with this lighter overtime grew on me a lot and love the design. If I lost it I wouldn't mind paying non sale price to get another

C'est LE Zippo standard en laiton chromé, finition entièrement polie, ici dans sa version 1935, dont Zippo a fait une réplique exacte, donc une superbe qualité de fabrication et pratiquement indestructible. Ici, c'est la version décorée par quatre tirets obliques ( Slashes ) de chaque coté du briquet. Les différences avec les Zippo modernes sont : 1 / Couvercle moins haut et plat, non bombé. 2 / Fond plat. 3 / Fixations de charnière de couvercle apparentes à l'extérieur du boîtier. 4 / Axe de charnière en trois parties au lieu de cinq parties. 5 / Axe de la roulette de pierre évidé et non plein. Bien entendu, le module essence de ce Zippo 1935 est parfaitement compatible avec les modèles 1941 et modernes. Ce Zippo est vendu à un prix très intéressant par rapport au prix marché moyen constaté ( Street price ), frais de port compris. Livré très rapidement dans sa boîte de présentation Zippo dont le couvercle carton est une réplique en relief de la boîte de 1935 avec " Windy / Venteuse ", la jeune femme qui allume une cigarette en plein vent et qui est la mascotte de la marque. Briquet Zippo fourni avec documentation en plusieurs langues dont le français et fabriqué à Bradford, Pennsylvanie - USA en janvier 2014. Marquage " A 14 " sous le briquet. Référence Zippo : " 1935 REPLICA W/SLASHES ". Poids 55 grammes. Garanti à vie. Satisfaction totale pour cet achat.

As always, the Amazon experience was Amazing! :) The lighter was an authentic one, and was delivered within a day. It was a completely sealed pack and the quality of material being used to craft the original Zippo's reflected well in the build of the lighter. This classic replica is definitely worth a collection!

Che dire, sono un ex grande fumatore (non pentito) che una notte di 13 anni fà ha deciso di non fumare più...ce l'ho fatta soffrendo solo non più di una settimana. Dopo questa divagazione direte cosa me ne faccio di un accendino......lo uso per portarmelo dietro quando faccio escursionismo con mia moglie per accendere fornellino insomma serve averlo dietro e lo Zippo per il tipo di accendino è il più affidabile e robusto. Io in gioventù ne ho avuti tanti dal Ronson al Colibrì al pregiato Dupont ma ricordo uno Zippo di ottone, vecchio, consunto che era il mio preferito e non perdeva un colpo, l'ho perso durante un trasloco. Ritorniamo in tema, quindi ho deciso di acquistare per averlo sempre dietro uno Zippo, possibilmente sobrio, senza fronzoli e dopo tanto girovagare in rete e per negozi la mia scelta è caduta su questo piccolo gioiello fatto veramente bene, originalissimo (me ne intendo: rotella con zigrinatura obliqua fondello con i caratteri incisi senza sbavature , la data del serbatoio che coincide con quella del fondello anche se ciò non inficia sull'originalità perchè il fodero può anche essere stato prodotto qualche mese prima o dopo rispetto al serbatoio ed altre cose che non mi dilungo a spiegare) Che dire, è più piccolo dei classici, più tozzo e più piatto o squadrato che dir si voglia molto vintage con la cerniera esterna fatta su tre e non su 5 bussolotti replica perfetta per dimensioni e caratteristiche al modello del 1935 mantenendo ovviamente i pregi ed i difetti. I primi sono quelli comuni a tutti gli accendini Zippo anche quelli molto costosi per quanto concerne i i difetti, se così li vogliamo chiamare ma per me non lo sono, leggera oscillazione del coperchio solo quando è aperto dovuta alla cerniera esterna formata da tre barilotti e quindi meno stabile ma da ugualmente impressione di robustezza e affidabilità, il secondo ,sempre a causa della cerniera esterna, il coperchio quando apre tutto poggia nel corpo mentre in quelli successivi alla massima apertura sta sollevato ma non è un handicap perchè quando si apre va a picchiare nel nostro dito ......non ne ho trovati altri. Ricapitolando, molto bello costruito bene, prodotto super pagato meno rispetto ai rivenditori consegna perfetta e puntuale.......lo porterò sempre in tasca, Consigliatissimo, se lo trovate non fatevelo mancare perchè a reperirli si inizia ad avere difficoltà e si trovano a prezzi quasi raddoppiati.
