Global G-56, Classic 7 inch Vegetable Hollow Ground Knife, Stainless Steel

I'm not a pro but I like using quality stuff that lasts a long time. I have this knife and the 5-1/2 inch. Honestly, I bought them based on online and Amazon reviews. After several weeks of using them and getting used to them, they are my favorite and the two knives I reach for the most. The size and shape of these two are so versatile. I use them for everything. They are so sharp and hold their edge extremely well. They are light and well balanced. Makes cutting anything easier. I had other knives I loved but the wooden handles dried up and split and the plastic composite handles got sticky, melted, or cracked over time and exposure to heat and oils. The handles on the Global stay clean. They take some getting used to but they don't slip and I have not had any problems with them. Really looking forward to using these knives for a long time.

This is one of my top 2 knives. Wow. While it can never replace my 6" chef's, this is such a great knife for slicing vegetables. Holds an edge well and just feels great in your hand. You deserve to have nice, sharp knives.

My new favorite knife manufacturer! I bought the Global 7" vegetable knife after using the smaller 5 1/2" vegetable knife for six or eight months. The balance and dimpled grip works well for me. The shape of the blade is somewhat similar to a Chinese Chef knife and I find both of the Global Vegetable Knives to be great all purpose knives. Caution, these knives are so sharp that I have to use care not to choke up on the handle and accidently nick my index finger on the heel of the blade. Just a reminder to practice good knife skills and not be careless with these fine blades. They are clean and practical with their beautiful one piece stainless design and it is fun to see them in the hands of celebrity chefs on the Food Network from time to time. Although Global is in the upper half of the cuttlery price range, I think that they are a good value. We live in our kitchen and love expanding our culinary expertise so it is a pleasure to have quality tools.

This is my all time favorite go to knife! If you don't want to invest a lot of money in a set of knives, but you want one really awesome knife, this is the one. This is the best kitchen knife ever, I really LOVE IT. The size always works for me and the clean up is so easy. I never put it in the dishwasher or the sink, it's very sharp so I simply wash and dry it off after every use, it will stay sharper longer the better you take of it. It is the seamless construction between the handle and forged blade that makes this knife more sanitary. I just purchased this knife for my daughter and I found the best price here on Amazon. To sharpen this knife I use what the website recommends which is the ceramic minosharp sharpener.

Great for salad prep and other veggies. I used to think a knife was a knife. But this knife I could not do without. It stays very sharp and works great to scoop veggies from cutting board because of the wide blade.

I have a number of Global knives and was very surprised how easy this to use. It is very well balanced, makes chopping vegetables a cinch. This was a very worthwhile purchase, glad to have added it to my collection.

I learned of this knife in a Japanese cooking class. It is the best knife that I have ever purchased. Not a bad price point for what you get!

I love this knife. Its held an edge for ever I just re-tune it with a steel every couple weeks. Its super well balanced, no cracks to hold bacteria and its huge for even large eggplants or whatever your chopping up.

We've got a few global knifes and wouldn't use anything else. The veg knife is perfect for us, slices so perfectly and lovely to handle. I 100% recommend Global, they might seem pricer than your standard knife but they are in a different league and last a lifetime.

Ich besitze mittlerweile über 10 Messer von Global und wurde noch nie enttäuscht Das Global G-56 ist ein sehr gutes Gemüse Messer. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr Hochwertig. Es liegt sehr gut in der Hand da dass Messer Austariert ist. Auch nach 5 Jahren im dauer Einsatz hält es Noch immer was es verspricht. Ideales Chef knife aber auch für den Privatgebrauch perfekt Sehr leicht zum Nachschleifen mit einem Global Schleifstein Preisleistung stimmt!

Tamaño perfecto para todo tipo de vegetales y hortalizas. El acanalado da rapidez al corte al no agarrarse el producto al filo. Como todos los Global, un cuchillo magnífico.
