These are not the tiny 2 oz cans. Came in a plain brown box so I'm not sure the exact size. I have posted a photo to compare this size with the 2oz so you can see the difference. It's a great deal for the sparkle compound

Why does it comes in a nondescript brown box? Is this not "official" play doh product?

I have purchased a couple of these and they are the actual play doh product. The jars are not the BIG ones but they are perfect for my toddler grandchildren. The glitter in the doh does not change the composition of the product. I would imagine it is in the brown box because it is easier to pack a large quantity. Sometimes Amazon will state that an item is available in the original packaging or frustration free packaging.

Does this playdough contain "wheat"?

I am going to say yes. Not 100%, but 99% sure. The description says "non-toxic, non-irritating & non-allergenic except as noted: Children who are allergic to wheat gluten may have an allergic reaction to this product."
