Cheap but gets the job done
It’s cheap plastic but decently durable. The light fixture I have was not large enough to cover the lip to keep it on the ceiling so I drilled two screws into it to secure and painted them white, and it was fine. I was initially worried it might crack but it didn’t. It looks really nice and you can’t really tell it’s plastic. Definitely a great value for the money.

Plastic design but works
The size of the is great for around small light fixture, lightweight due to it being plastic , definitely recommend using a small drill bit to make holes first before putting screws in to hang if you have to , beside that it's works and looks good can't complain for the price

Great value for the price
Upon opening the package I thought the product looked plastic and cheap . But decided to go ahead and keep it anyway as I thought that maybe I would paint it and since it’d be on the ceiling maybe no one would notice. I didn’t get the opportunity to paint it before it was installed and it actually looks great. Pleasantly surprised. Would purchase again . I definitely recommend this!

Paint it before you rate it
I don't know what I was expecting as this is the first ceiling medallion I've purchased; however, at first site this was pretty unimpressive. It's bright white, plastic, and ready to be painted. Definitely needs to be painted. We got it for use with the ALL CRYSTAL CHANDELIER CHANDELIERS WITH PINK SHADES H17" X W17," per another reviewer's suggestion. This is for our baby's nursery that is gray, pink, and antique white. We also got the Rust-Oleum 202867 Distressed Quart and Half Pint Kit, Distressed Ivory, to used on this and a few other accents. The antiquing did the trick, and the medallion is a nice finishing touch to the ceiling and light fixture.

Perfect Small Medallion - After a Coat of Paint
This medallion is the perfect size for a small area or low ceiling. I purchased it to accent a small crystal chandelier over our kitchen dining area. At first glance out of the package it does look somewhat cheap and absolutely needs at a minimum a couple coats of flat white paint to give it the appearance of plaster instead of plastic (it is rather shiny). I used Rustoleum flat white spray paint and it worked beautifully. Took only a few minutes to do and greatly improved its appearance. Installation was intuitive - the chandelier canopy holds the medallion in place, no nails or adhesive required. I am extremely happy with my purchase and highly recommend this product to everyone.
