Love it!
At first I received a defective one but then I had it replaced and this one works SO WELL. It runs a long time because it has a large capacity and completely changes humidity levels in even an hour. By reducing humidity it also reduces odor. Love it. I hope it lasts a long time. Big ish. Heavy to pick up bucket and pour water. Definitely put on the wheels to make it easier to transport.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Dehumidifier for Bedroom Allergy Relief!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Dehumidifier for Bedroom Allergy Relief! I can’t recommend the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier enough! It’s been a lifesaver for my bedroom where I use it daily to fight my severe dust mite allergy. This product truly feels like it was sent from the gods. ✅ Why This Dehumidifier Stands Out: • Compact Yet Powerful: The unique cube design saves space while delivering exceptional performance for bedrooms, and small spaces. • Allergy Relief: Keeps humidity low, making it harder for dust mites, mold, and mildew to thrive. My allergy symptoms have improved dramatically since using it every day. • Smart Features: o App Notifications: I love getting alerts when it’s time to empty the tank and checking up on the room humidity level when I’m not home. o Front Display: Shows the current room humidity level —super convenient! • Large Water Capacity & Easy Drainage: The expandable tank means fewer trips to empty. I haven’t tried the continuous emptying mode but have found no issues with emptying the tank every few days. • Noise Level: It may be loud for some, but I think of it as soothing white noise. The slight hum is worth it for how effective this unit is. • Energy Efficient: Energy Star certified, so it saves on electricity while improving air quality. • After One Month of Use: I’ve been using this dehumidifier for a month now, and it works perfectly so far. One thing to note: the water tank can get heavy when full. To make it easier, I recommend adjusting your settings so the unit stops dehumidifying when the tank reaches a certain level. This way, you can empty the water while it’s still relatively easy to handle. If you need a smart, reliable, and powerful dehumidifier for basement, bedroom, and especially allergy control, this is the one to get. Perfect for dust mite prevention, mold control, and improving indoor air quality. It’s truly a life-saver!

Lightweight, quiet, efficient!!!
I had no problem carrying the top part of the unit down to the basement; the large handle and cubic shape make it so easy to move. (I'm 69 years old and weigh 115 pounds.) I easily lifted the unit up to a small stand 3 feet in height, so that I could drain the water into the laundry basin. The hose attached in seconds; the instructions for switching to bucketless mode were straightforward. The unit is unbelievably quiet...even with the fan on high. As soon as I turned on the Midea Cube, I could see the water dripping from the hose at a steady rate. The humidity dropped 10% in less than 2 hours. My last dehumidifier weighed 50 lbs. and sounded like a freight train. I had to empty the bucket twice a day in the summer months, and I often ended up sloshing water onto the basement floor. I'm so glad it finally died... otherwise I would not have bought a Midea Cube!

Quiet dehumidifier with good contols that works well. Responsive customer service.
Update: the unit I bought in October iced over and died in December. BUT, when I contacted Midea customer service, they replied the same day, asking for several additional pieces of information. Within 3 days they informed me they will reimburse me for the unit. I'm hoping the problem was a fluke, and ordered another one, as I really do like they way they operate. Midea customer service was 5-star in dealing with my complaint - a rare wonder these days. This is my second Midea Cube 20 dehumidifier. First one lasted 3 years, then refused to condense water. Motor and fan ran, but no result. Internet said probably the coolant, and that it was toast. Other reports said generally most people expected a dehumidifier like this to last 2 years. Mine runs constantly, and I empty once a day. This is fairly quiet, which is good, because it needs to be in my bedroom. Consumer Reports praised this model as being one of the quieter units. Chose the 20 because internet articles said getting a bigger dehumidifier may cause to cycle more often, which is harder on the system than continuous operation. Also, I have to carry the bucket to the bathroom to empty. Water is heavy. I can set the water level turn-off to something lower than max capacity so it's easier to carry. I have mine set on 3 (out of 4). Having a larger capacity container would not be useful for me. I can set it to run continuously, have a set point humidity shut off, or set it on a timer. I have it set to 50% humidity, and in FL, that means it usually runs continuously. Only problem is a design issue. Controls are on the top of the unit and easy to push. One of my cats will sometimes sit on top of the dehumidifier and reset it for me, and I have to go back and reset, which fortunately is not hard. Oh, cats! I find the compact size, ability to dehumidify, and easy controls of this product very good, and did buy another when the first one gave up.

Not Well-Constructed
This is my second dehumidifier ( first one was the Frigidaire 22-pint one ), so much of my review here is based on a comparison to that one. o Off-gassing - For those who are chemically-sensitive, this product is not for you. Upon opening the box, I noticed fumes from the packaging material. You could tell the materials used in the packaging are not of high quality. Also, after unpacking and wiping down the unit, turning it on for awhile resulted in air being released with a noticeable mechanical odor. o Design and Aesthetics - The concept behind this dehumidifier is interesting, especially its space-saving design. However, the execution falls short. From a visual standpoint, the unit is not particularly attractive when positioned on top of the collection bucket; there are glaring gaps between the motor unit on top and the collection bucket. Considering the price point of nearly $200, this is unacceptable. If I had guests over, I would be a bit embarrassed to have this sitting out. Also, when not in use, the motor unit is designed to sit inside the collection bucket. The motor unit has a vent on top, where the motor is visible. It seems there was no thought to assign a cover for the motor unit in storage mode. I could imagine dust accumulating inside the unit and with no way to access the internals of this unit, it diminishes confidence in the product's durability. o Functional - Despite the issues above, I was willing to give this product a chance. For my first run, I left it running in a humid room for 35 minutes, and not a single drop of water was collected. It just left an unpleasant odor. This was just a true disappointment. If the dehumidifier had worked efficiently, I would have kept this, but with a shabby 1-year warranty and the other issues noted above regarding the quality, lack of thought and care in design and packaging, I do not have much faith in the quality of this product's longevity. If I rated my Frigidaire dehumidifier as an 8/10, this one ( granted from my limited experience with it ) is currently 1/10.

Definitely does the job!
Purchased this dehumidifier as a precaution to the humid weather in my area. I plugged this in and easy set up. It feels very heavy duty. 5 days later I'm dumping 2 gallons of water that it collected so it absolutely removes moisture. All in all The air quality is better and it is a good value.

Excellent Performance, Smart Features, and a Great Design - A Must-Have for Any Humid Space
I've been using the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier for about a month now, and it has completely transformed my basement. Living in a humid climate, my basement was always a little musty, and I worried about mold and mildew. This dehumidifier has not only solved that problem but has also made the space feel much more comfortable. The first thing that impressed me was the design. The "Cube" concept is brilliant. Unlike traditional bulky dehumidifiers, this one is sleek and unobtrusive. The ability to stack the water bucket inside the unit when not in use is a game-changer for saving space, especially in a smaller room or during the drier months. Performance-wise, it's a powerhouse. It quickly brought the humidity level in my roughly 1,200 sq. ft. basement down to a comfortable 45-50% and maintains it effortlessly. The 20-pint capacity is perfect for this size space, and the ENERGY STAR certification is a welcome bonus, as I've seen a minimal impact on my electricity bill. What truly sets this unit apart are the smart features. The smart control is fantastic. I can monitor the humidity level and adjust settings from my phone, which is incredibly convenient. The Alexa compatibility is the icing on the cake. I love being able to say, "Alexa, turn on the basement dehumidifier," and have it spring to life. The continuous drain hose is another huge plus. I have it hooked up to a floor drain, so I never have to worry about emptying the bucket, it's a true "set it and forget it" experience. The unit is also surprisingly quiet. While you can hear it running, it's a low, consistent hum that fades into the background. It's much quieter than other dehumidifiers I've owned in the past. Overall, I can't recommend the Midea Cube 20 Pint Dehumidifier enough. It's a well-designed, efficient, and smart appliance that delivers on all its promises. If you're looking for a dehumidifier for your basement or any other large, humid space, this is an excellent investment that you won't regret. It's a 5-star product in every sense of the word.

Midea is so far 4 for 4 on my satisfaction rate
I have three Midea U-Shaped Air Conditioners. So when it came time to get a dehumidifier for our 1300sf basement, the 1500sf Midea Dehumidifier was the obvious choice for me. I will note, when using the bucket mode, the bucket only filled about 1/4 full of water before the machine turned off and said that the bucket was "full". This would not work for me, as it only took about 6 hours to get 1/4 full. So I switched to continuous drainage mode, and hooked up a hose draining to the sump pump in the basement. There may be a way to change the sensitivity of the bucket fill mode, but I cannot find it at the moment. This would be the only downside I see, and not worth taking a star off for. This is something that is hard to find online, but you may be interested in. The device is drawing about 300 Watts. I'm always interested in the electric draw of my devices, as I try to be as efficient as possible. I think 300 Watts is completely reasonable for a dehumidifier, I just wish the manual or any of the marketing material was more transparent about the expected electric usage of the device. This goes for any manufacturer. These are things a home owner, or utility payer would like to know prior to purchase, I shouldn't have to hook a meter up to it in order to find out. Midea devices, both A/C's and the Dehumidifier are very efficient, and so far have been a pleasure to use. I appreciate the app functionality, and would only recommend to Midea that they work on making more of the products "matter" enabled, so they have native functionality with Apple HomeKit. Currently two of my A/C's are matter enabled. The other A/C and the dehumidifier are running through Homebridge in order to be added to my Apple HomeKit. This is a work around, and I am satisfied with it, but obviously being matter enabled should be a simple and obvious feature with any smart appliance these days. So far, the humidifier is working as expected. We have 80% humidity to start with in the basement, and within a couple hours it was down below 70%. I'm working on getting it down to 50% and will report back if the device is not capable of that. But I also understand our basement is on the larger size for the device I chose, and it is not well insulated, so it is likely that the device will have to work for quite a few hours to get the level down to the target 50%. All in all, happy with the product, and looking forward to seeing more from Midea in the future.

Very poorly designed filters
Replacing my Bionaire PureQuiet unit which was sadly discontinued. The Midea does a good job but a little cumbersome removing the top section to empty the large bucket but the large bucket also means less times having to empty it. The noise level was important to me and is actually very acceptable. All in all it's a great unit and well worth the price. An update. I'm well into my first summer with this unit and it's actually much better than I had expected. I've had many dehumidifiers over the years but none would compare to this one. I'd give it an A+ if I could! Another update. The only issue I have are the filters, which are pretty fragile. I broke one portion of the frame trying to install it. Best to be very gentle when handling them. I managed to glue it together and we'll see how long it lasts. A replacement is around C$9 and C$14 shipping. An update. Thse second filter is now broken on the plastic edging, even after being very careful and gentle with it. This is after 18 months of use. So it's probably better to fabricate some kind of filter and mount it on the outside of the casing. I'm not impressed at all. As a de-humidifier it's great. The design not so much.

¡Te vas a sorprender!

110V NOT 220V!!!!!!!
The product works just fine and seems good. I’ve have it for less than a day now. I am only writing this comment because I am disappointed that the product in 110V which we don’t have at all. And it doesn’t mention that in the product discription. So I have to order a Step down transformer to get it to work. If I had known, I would’ve NOT ordered it.
