The original battery on my Ryobi weed eater started to die and the charger gave an error code if I tried to charge it. This battery charged up fine and works perfect. The weed eater now lasts over an hour on a charge and with 2 batteries I can do both the front and back yard and driveway (40 yards long). The battery fits in both the charger and weed eater perfect and locks in place securely. I like the status lights on the battery so I know if it was charged or not before I go out to start work. Charging time is fairly quick but it is a larger capacity battery so it takes a bit of time to charge. I try to let my batteries cool off for 45 minutes to an hour between charge and use hoping this will extend their life. I am happy I found an economical and durable solution to the dead original battery problem I had. After summer and fall it worked great and I look forward to using it again in the spring.

This RYOBI ONE+ 18V 4.0 Ah battery has been a solid addition to my tool lineup. The extra capacity compared to smaller batteries makes a noticeable difference when running more demanding tools. I was having issues with my smaller battery not being powerful enough and read somewhere to try a bigger battery. This size battery 4.0Ah solved my issue! Takes a bit longer to charge than a smaller battery, but holds a charge longer and is powerful enough to get the job done. Also found it at a lesser price than the big box stores, with quicker delivery as well. Works with the same charger base and is a bit heavier, but still easy to use.

Advertised as new. What arrived packaged well appeared so new that I had to use a magnifier to try and find signs of use and not being counterfeit. It wasn’t, as I called the Ryobi number supplied and this turns out to be New/ Old stock ; Warranty old per serial number. So did search engines research and learned that lithium batteries don’t go bad by sitting on a shelf somewhere and so far it proves to work like a strong new battery side by side to my other two ( already 2 yrs old). I just make sure to be fair to the battery and let it cool before it goes back on the charger. It’ll last.

I like it , it is convenient for me when I have to mow the lawn. I don’t have to carry around a long extension cord. I just plug in my battery and use my equipment.
