EMRA Urgent Care Guide: Management and Disposition Decisions Paperback – January 1, 2021

Great books, came in handy!!

The media could not be loaded. This is a great pocket book for Urgent Care. I work in Family Practice and wanted a quick reference for my acute visits and things I don’t see as often. This book is a great resource with very brief overview of history, physical exam, differential diagnoses, any recommended imaging/lab work up, treatment, and when the refer. As you can see my photo compares this pocket book to the ER pocket book also from EMRA and this one is much more robust. The ER book has some good info too but if I had to pick just one I would definitely go with this Urgent Care book.

Quick reference for UC, EC, or clinic setting.

This little guidebook may be small in size, but it is actually an excellent and easy-to-use resource for any healthcare provider (NP, PA, MD, DO) or any medical student working in the urgent care setting. I love that it is small enough to fit in my pocket when working in the clinic, and the book is laid out in an easy-to-navigate way that makes it very quick and easy to look something up. Most commonly seen health issues/medical concerns in the urgent care setting can be found in this little book and it really is a great little clinical resource! There are definitely more in-depth urgent care guides out there but this one really packs quite a punch in such a small book and ultimately provides straight-to-the-point information that can be very helpful in a fast-paced environment like the urgent care setting. In short, I really do like this book!
