With his instantly recognizable decorative style, Czech artist and Art Nouveau master Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) defined the look of the fin-de-siècle. There are a lot of pictures of his paintings. They are either page-size or large enough to be easily seen. They are NOT black and white. No thumbnail sketches like you get in some books. The paper surprised me. I kept thinking the pages were stuck together. Nope. The paper is top quality and not thin. I am quite pleased with this purchase.

I fell in love with Mucha's art after going to a museum having a special display of his works and wanted to look at them whenever I had the time. These books are lovely to just have on a shelf and revisit your favorite artist's works whenever you're having an art block :)

Eccellente libro!
Un libro eccellente! La storia seppur in inglese é abbastanza facile ed intuitiva da leggere, ma il pezzo forte, le foto e le stampe.. Che magia! Le foto delle opere non solo sono di eccellente qualità, con colori fedeli e impaginazioni eccellenti, ma di alcune abbiamo ulteriori immagini dei dettagli. Il libro in sé é ottimo sopratutto se si vuole studiare la tecnica di questo artista immortale.
