Very happy with the look of this with my MacBook on my desk. The finish is almost identical and it works very well for how simple the design is. Less moving parts=less thigns to break. I personally use it with my MacBook standing vertically and it still works as desired.

The aluminum is thick, edges are smooth, and the rubber padding grips without scratching. The adjustable width mechanism feels heavy and luxurious. It holds my 15" macbook air rock steady, zero wobble, and the rubber base means it's not going anywhere on my desk. I was worried initially because the large MBA is really thin but big, so I was concerned that it would wobble or be off balance if sitting vertically. ZERO issues with that. This stand is rock solid. The whole thing has that dense, cold-to-the-touch feel of actual quality aluminum, not the hollow nonsense you usually get at this price. Does what it needs. Simple, looks clean. Happy with purchase. Only issue is tightening bolt doesn’t hold super well, but why the hell you shaking your laptop so much? I’d recommend
