I like them
They feel a little bulky at first, but don’t take long to get used to. They are not too stiff so mobility is not restricted. They stay in place regardless of if you are throwing kicks or taking them. The padding/ protection is in the perfect sweet spot of being enough to protect you from injury while still allowing you to throw heavy kicks that your opponent certainly feels. They work very well for me, they are tough, and worth the investment.

For women, about 5'5, the medium shin pads fit well and give the same amount of protection as other shin pads. The only complaint I have about these is that the velcro spands almost the entire top strap. As someone with thicker calves and can't close the top strap end to end, the left over Velcro rubs and scratches your legs which can make them slightly uncomfortable to wear.
