FUJI All-Around Brazilian Style Jiu Jitsu Uniform

Great Gi Absolutely love this Fuji gi! Excellent quality for the price. The material is thick, durable, and feels very well made. The collar is nice and sturdy, which makes it great for gripping during training. I’ve washed it several times in cold water and it still looks great with no issues. I recommend washing it in cold water and hang drying to help prevent shrinkage. Overall, it’s comfortable, durable, has a great fit, and offers amazing quality for the price. Definitely a great gi for regular BJJ training! 🥋 Perfect Fit Care Instructions It doesn’t wrinkle when it’s properly washed and dried. I always wash mine in cold water and let it air dry naturally instead of using a dryer, and it still looks great without getting wrinkled. Good material. For reference, I’m 170 cm (5’7”) and 65 kg (143 lbs), and I ordered a size A1. It fits me perfectly! The length and overall fit are just right, with enough room to move comfortably during BJJ training.

I am in love with this gi. The minute I took it out of the box it went straight to number 1 on my fave gi list. Here's why: 1) It's super cute. It is way cuter than the pic. You really can barely see the detailing in the pic but besides the little flower thing on the jacket, the pants have pretty pink stitching that is NOT obnoxiously pink. I actually like pink but you can have too much of a good thing and many gi's do. This one has just the right amount of very feminine and delicate stitching and patching. 2) It's super soft. SUPER soft. You really could wear it for pajamas. And that was straight out of the box. Now granted if you're looking for a competition gi, soft may not be your best bet. But it feels awesome and it is 100% cotton. And it has normal cotton pants not those annoying rip stop pants they keep shoving down our throats. 3) It is IBJJF approved. I have never competed but apparently IBJJF has pretty strict rules about where the patches can be and blah blah blah. You would think that gi companies would try harder to make their gis IBJJF approved but they don't. So you might sink a couple hundred bucks into a gi and then realize you can't wear it to compete. My one friend went to the worlds and he described people trying to hack patches off their pants with nail clippers or else being forced to buy a new gi on the spot at premium prices. Eek. 4) It is the best price-quality ratio I have found and I've been training 6 years. You can buy other gis for the same price but they just don't have the style. A few of the gis I got from an all-women's gi company just make me sad. 5) It fits. I don't know why it is so hard to find a gi that fits but it is. Granted, women come in all shapes and sizes but still. I mean I'm not saying it fits like a glove because then it wouldn't be a gi but it's not huge and billowy like some of them or too small like others. In short, I adore this gi and I wish I could return most of the gi's I own and just buy more of this one because I know I will wear it out and then I will cry. Now, there are a few tiny con's. The main one is that the sleeves are a bit large. Once again this is strictly a problem in competition because between being super soft and then having these large sleeve openings it's really a gift to your opponent. She could get grips and stay there all day and feel awesome about it because these sleeves won't hurt her hands. Sometimes people's gi's are like sandpaper, I have arthritis in my hands and those are killer. I actually can't think of any other con's. I love training in this gi. I love this gi, that's all there is to it. I'm going to keep an eye on the price and buy another the second it goes down. It's already a good price but I'm a cheapskate. And Fuji is Fuji, everybody has at least one Fuji and now I know why.

I've been needing a 2nd gi for quite some time. I read all the reviews on the Fuji gi and decided to give it a try. I went to the Fuji Sports website to review the sizing chart. I'm 247lbs, 5'10" and have a 36/28 waist so I fell between the A4 & A5 sizes. I also looked at a new belt since my current one was a bit too short (120 inches - Honor Athletics - size A6) and decided on the Fuji A5 (138 inches) belt : Fuji BJJ Belts . I go by the standard of my belt is one size larger than my gi, so I ordered the A4 Fuji Gi. Upon arrival, I tried it on... the pants fit very well, slightly long... quite roomy and soft. The jackets fit was roomy, fit well on shoulders, not tight in my armpits, allowed full motion. The sleeves were just about right, about a 1/2 inch too long. I know all gi's shrink a bit after washing but I still wasn't sure. I decided to contact Fuji Sports customer service ([email protected]) in reference to my dilemma. To my surprise, they responded to my email within 30 minutes! They stated that with a cold wash and hang dry the gi would shrink approximately 1 in maximum... that if I thought that would be too much, they recommended I get the A5 size and to shrink it to fit. After trying the gi again, I figured that the 1 inch would be perfect so I decided to stay with the A4 size. I found the gi's quality to live up to the reviews... solid construction and very soft. I will be rolling with it next week and will update my review after some time. **UPDATE**July 24, 2013** After training with this gi, I found the jacket to be a bit snug around my waist... working on losing the gut :) The pants were still a bit long after washing them but I didn't want to put them in the dryer since the jacket would also shrink. I will keep this gi for future use once I drop a few inches. I ended up ordering a 2nd Fuji Victory gi, size A5 this time... the jacket is larger thus fits much better. I've already washed and dried in the dryer 2 times and its still too big... the sleeves are just past my hands and the pants are still too long. I'm taking it to my tailor to have the patches sewn on and do the required adjustments. As far as training with the gi goes, I have nothing but praise for the quality and workmanship of the Fuji Victory series. Very soft and strong, looks good and I see it holding up well.

Let me preface my review by saying this is the first gi I have ever worn as I just started jiu jitsu. So because I have nothing to compare it to, keep that in mind when reading this. Firstly, this gi feels very thick to me. Personally, I like this especially when utilizing my gi while rolling. Whenever I grip my gi, it feels sturdy and doesn't stretch much which I love. I really don't want a gi to have super large logos all over it and as you can see by the product images, the logos are small, clean, and very incognito. This was a major selling point for me. I am 5'8/5'9 209 pounds. I have short arms, short legs, longer torso so I have problems buying clothes. The a3 honestly fit me well. The sleeves and pants were slightly longer than I would prefer but not so much that it bothers me. There are tactics you can use in the washer to shrink it some which worked well for me. Check out youtube for a tutorial on that. All in all I love the gi, I'm about 13 classes in, maybe 9 gi classes, and so far there is no visible wear. I can not say what the durability is like over time but I don't see any possible issues in the near future.

This is a review specifically for people who consider themselves short and skinny. (Size A1) The picture is me wearing it right out of box, which is why it is big. Pros: -Great material for the price you pay. -Pants waist fit perfect (the waist is adjustable so it fits even my small size 27 waist) -Pants length are teeny bit long right out the box, but they become the perfect size after 1 or 2 hot washes (depending on how short you want). I am 5' 4". After 1 hot wash + dry, the pant length fits perfect. Cons: -Shoulders are big on the jacket. Unless you got broad shoulders or are a big/fat/muscular guy, then it's okay. However, I am a very skinny ectomorph (110 pounds). The shoulders are big so the jacket scrunches up and looks weird when you tie your belt around. -The arms are a little long. Us short people have shorter arms. The sleeves come to about anywhere from the crevice between thumb and index finger, to where your 4 fingers, excluding thumb start. After 2 hot washes and 2 hot drys, the arm length did shrink about an inch. -Arms are baggy -Pant draw strings and belt loop are mediocre. Pants often slide off/down because of this. Ultimately, I can't return this since I washed and dried, but if I could reverse time, I'd buy an Elite Sports Gi because it is about the same price as a white Fuji gi, and from what I've read from reviews, the sizing is very good for short people (slimmer fit). In conclusion, this gi is a great first time gi! Just not the best for short skinny people out the box. Remember, I'm very small and skinny, disregard my review if you are normal weight and height. UPDATE: After over 6 hot washes and Hot dries, the fit has improved, so I have added another star. It fits almost perfect now. Still a teeny bit big, but it will only continue to shrink and fit me better and better as time goes on. I have stopped washing hot and switched to cold and tumble low dry.

The price is competitive, especially with shipping. The product description is accurate and delivery fast. The Gi is well made of high quality material. Using the sizing chart to find your fit can be a challenge. I am 5’11” @ 230lbs and size A4 fits me just right 3 orders after! The Fuji Gi is a little heavy at approximately 4lbs. I’ll be buying it again in a different color.

This is my second All Around Gi from Fuji. I was a Tatami guy for 14 years. I bought my first all around gi about three years ago and it became my favorite Gi. A couple reasons it is my favorite; I am 6’2” and 245 lbs, the A4 fits like a glove and has a nice soft broken in feeling right out of the bag. Secondly the collar is layers of fabric and not the stiff EVA foam, I like that because it doesn’t force my head forward or get in the way when i roll. I’ve been training in the gi for almost 17 years now and for me comfort is everything. other than that the durability of the Gi is second to none, the fabric is a cotton poly blend so it doesn’t shrink like all cotton Gi’s and is also much more durable. My other Gi’s at about three years the collars start to fray. Not my Fujis.

I like the feel of this on my skin compared to the elite brand. Worth the price. If you’re lookin for lightweight this isn’t. It’s in the heavier side.

Favorite gi

This is a quality made gi, very good for the price. Well put together. I also like the clean look. Jacket fit is good but a bit bulky/loose for athletic build. pants are a bit on the short side for 6'4" male. If you are 6' to 6'2" the length of the pants will be perfect. It is a medium weight gi, you have to get used to the weight if you are used to lightweight gi. This gi will be good for colder days.
