Works great for small projects
The media could not be loaded. Great value for small projects. Easy to use doesn’t tend to rip folds easily, it is a high quality product would work well in a small lab or at home(or even for experimenting with coffee taste ) would recommend

Very fine, work well.
I certainly had a challenge ready for these filter papers. The "mess" that is in my images there is some wire wool dissolving in vinegar, to make a dye for oak. I hadn't got up courage to filter it until incentivised to do so when I got the chance to try these papers. The papers are on the small side for a normal funnel, so they are definitely more suited to a Buchner funnel (available in this size 90mm which I own but not the flask) and vacuum flask set up .But we do what we can, the papers are very fine, I ended up pre filtering the liquid through a course filter to get the large items out. I then tried one of these filters and it became blocked very quickly. I then decided to run the liquid again through some intermediate papers I already owned to do some of the heavy lifting, then finished with one last pass through using these filters. That the filters became blocked isnt a fault of the filters, as I stated before they are super fine, and given some vacuum assist they would have been fairly rapid. You use the right filters for the job.I did finally manage to get a vacuum set up under a Buchner funnel and gave it one pass (all I think my jury rigged set up would take) and the end result can be seen. The result was very good indeed, very satisfying given the dire start material it had to work with, these filters really did do well given the unprofessional set ups.Materially they are nice and thick, pretty substantial but that's often the case given their intended use.The item description correctly identities these as qualitative filter papers rather than quantitative or ash free, the image attached shows the residue from burning one paper, again, it is what it is for the job intended.

Great, but smaller than I thought!
Kept child scientists happy for ages exploring separation!

Effective - Good Value - Versatile
These are just like the filter papers that you would have used at school to separate salty water from mud or similar. Ever since school I have used filter papers for lots of purposes, from filtering fuel to winemaking and they are a useful item to have around. These filter papers arrive in a cardboard which is handy to keep them safe between uses. The paper is a good thickness, and the flowrate is exactly as one would expect. You can tell that these have been punched from a larger sheet as the edges are nice and smooth with no fraying.I performed a test by filtering some home-made cider with disturbed sediment through one. It filtered this effectively, although it did take a while to do a whole bottle. For anybody performing home science experiments, or for any of the dozens of uses I’ve found for them over the years, these are excellent papers and good value for money.
