This radio must be spying on you
The mp3 player actually works but it starts in alphabetical order and cannot go to find music you want. I tried and tried to program the time and alarm but cannot get the alarm to stop going off every night. And it drains the battery. POS!

Superb
This ultra small radio is really great. The combination of AM/FM/SW and TF card slot is wonderful. The SW is not real great, but still nice to have. If you attach an external antenna, the SW is of course much better. In any case, SW is not useful to me because most of the stations I receive are in some Asian language, none of which I understand. I use one AM station to test sensitivity in this band - there are a couple of areas (dips in the land) where I don't get the test station, but so what when the radio is so portable. I suspect the cause is that the internal AM antenna must necessarily be on the short side. The usability complaints of some reviewers are really absurd. You have to expect some minor inconvenience to get such a small radio. The radio that I received included a USB charging cable, earphones, and even a slip case. Read the manual and play with this thing and you will soon be able to use very easily. One strange observation is that I cannot find the HanRongDa name on the box or radio case.

For a micro pocket radio - very pleased
I buy these things because I collect radios - expensive ones and cheapies. This cheapie radio didn't disappoint me and has surprisingly good audio for its small size. The FM scan picked up a respectable 50 stations in my area. All of these DSP based radios do pretty well with that. AM and SW to be tested but I'll wait until the evening. It already does what I expect on those bands during the day. For those complaining about the lack of buttons - go buy yourself a $300.00 communications receiver or deal with it. I have those too. What do you expect for 25 bucks? I took a photo next to a bottle cap for size context. Testing on AM and SW are showing pretty surprising performances too!

Early version of the k605 was an excellant product. Now not worth buying for shortwave feature.
Older version was a great product. Used it everyday at work for 4 years. Probalby the best money I ever spent. Mp3 player started to go through the playlist randomly so I replaced it with the same product, Now the shortwave scans very slow and the AM reception is not as good. With out presets the slow channel scan makes the k605 not worth having for the shortwave feature.

Worst Walkman type radio I've ever had. Sorry I bought it.
Battery life sucks. Radio has a rechargeable battery via USB cable. After charging battery LED lights indicate full charge and/or power status. With a full charge I turned the radio on and the power status lights go from a full charge to the next level down within five minutes. I figure at this rate it would run out of power within a half an hour. This radio is very difficult to setup. The fully automatic scanning and storage feature leaves you with no choice in selecting or passing on a station(s). NG I wanted a radio I could preset to my favorite stations and this ain't it. I have no idea about the other features on this radio, I found the instructions very hard to follow and not at all logical. The only thing missing on this radio is a command line prompt and DOS commands.
