Stanley Hand Tools 66-039 6 Piece Jeweler's Screwdriver Set

Had this set for many years, bought a new one to give to someone. My older set says JAPAN next to part number; new item description says made in China. Great quality, strong little screwdrivers. Yes, the set is a bit old-school with four flat blades and only two Phillips. A smaller Phillips is useful these days for tech items. One other reviewer asked "WHAT ARE THOSE LOOSE CAPS FOR?" The answer is that you use your forefinger on the "loose cap" (which rotates) to maintain downward pressure on the screw while using thumb and other fingers to actually turn the screwdriver. That way you can turn the screw with one hand while holding the screw or item with the other hand. Works great on delicate objects like eyeglasses. I wish the other reviewer had posted his remark in the question area so he could get an answer. Great little set and for me the set has lasted a long time too.

The steel tips used in Stanley screwdriver Model 66-039 are strong and hard. The metal handles also feel solid in comparison to plastic handles. This is a solid set of tools. I've tried other precision jeweler's screwdrivers in which the steel tips bend or strips easily.

I Got this set to Replace a set I got from Radio Shack 40Years ago The Phillips . Screwdriver ,Broke ,so This set is a Great Replacement .Works Great,and nice case.

It got multiple screw drivers with different size. It’s build quality is ok for this price.

This is a great value for the money. It serves its purpose well. I bought these because I needed a jewelry screwdriver to screw on a small screw on a luxury, leather messenger bag that I own. It did the job. These were recommended by Popular Mechanics. Looking forward to use these on future projects.

Well made and does the job.

They come with loose caps, but there is no instruction of what they are for. They also came in a plastic case with flimsy hinges that were broken, making it a chore to close the case and thereby lowering the true value of the item. And the loose caps lesson the ability to grip. WHAT ARE THOSE LOOSE CAPS FOR?

I like the set of screwdrivers, but the hinges on the case prone to breaking.

On of the drivers got some rust. Generally this has been a good purchase.

I ordered these screwdrivers to fix my old watches and a hard drive, to which it came to my expectations. Highly recommend for it. This is the best precision screwdriver set in the market i have ever found. Pros: Sturdy and handy. As the metal is heavy, it balances grip and precision. Black needle like structure is its beauty and makes it attractive. Moving metallic cap on the top gives clasp support while screwing. Sharp and solid black drivers are the best in market for precision and durability. Cons: Poor screwdriver plastic case. They should have provided a solid box as the drivers are heavy. The box lock is very thin, chances of losing and falling screwdrivers are pretty high, recommend to buy a separate box for it. The box already got broken in just three days after the purchase while carrying in my bag.

Set of tools is of good quality and screwdrivers' tips are powder coated in black. The grip is good. They were slightly coated in oil to prevent rusting. The tips are slim and long so it can reach the deep embedded screws in most toys and electronic products. The tools are good for small crafts, toys, spectacles and small electronics but not watches or mobile phones. I will update durability review after using them for sometime. Edit: I have used it a few times since I got it, and I see the powder coating coming off already. But it is not a big deal. But the product is very good and must buy for all DIY folks.
