An informative read
Trial, Error and Success: 10 Insights into Realistic Knowledge, Thinking and Emotional Intelligence is a thought provoking read by Dr Sima Dimitrijev PhD. This book can be used as a guide that teaches you success, in a way that involves the use of skepticism, science and logical thinking to get a better understanding of the random nature of the future to make solid decisions. Analogies along with sharp analyses and real-life examples are mentioned in the book to show you how to identify realistic knowledge and avoid harmful overgeneralized concepts. There's even a section on how to reduce personal risk and maximize benefits by using the collective process of trial and error. Dr. Sima provides readers with an extremely interesting guide which explores 3 Main ways of thinking and approaches, that being A the Knowledge Level, B the Intelligence level and finally C, the emotional-intelligence level. Each level consists of sub-levels of knowledge which explore the specific theme of the main level in a more in-depth and informative manner. Level A proceeds to explore the laws of science and math and how overgeneralized are basically traps. Furthermore, how you cannot avoid unpredictable events and much more. Level B proceeds to explore matters of intelligence, such as thinking by analyzing, differencing before generalizing things, learning from others but learning in a manner where you consume what is useful, and thinking about the risk and benefits from making free-willed decisions. The last and final level is C, which focuses on Emotional-Intelligence, a superior form of intelligence that anybody should have a good grasp on. The author's research and knowledge show in this book as he teaches you about building teams on the basis of emotions, utilizing plasticity to improve your own emotional intelligence for a better mind overall, that leads to a more productive and joyful being overall. I appreciate that the author doesn't just throw his two cents in his writing and considers it to be matter of fact, instead he has done the research and uses it support his teachings. There’s much more within the book to learn and would be a useful tool for many of us. I highly recommend this book to those who want to let go of the fear of making mistakes and instead turn that fear into a way to learn from normal human error. The author is effective at what he preaches and I give this enlightening read a 5 out of 5.

Interesting takes on a provocative topic
Trial, Error and Success is an interesting book, but I can't help but think that this topic can be done better. The author goes out of his way to prove how math and statistics are flawed, but the argumentation didn't convince me, and that's more on the author than on the subject. I like how he uses a lot of examples to illustrate his points, so it's easy to read and get immersed in the book. As I said, I can't entirely agree with everything in this book, but the takes are interesting, and I might do a little more research on this topic. As for this book, it's a good read, but nothing spectacular.

A very, very realistic and conceptual book.
A very, very realistic and conceptual book. The author centralized the idea to the concept of realistic knowledge.Whatever our life journey includes- every aspect consists of trial and error. That constant failure and stand-backs lead to the way of success. The book shows and beautifully demonstrates how successful thinking with broad analogies contributes to existing knowledge. Sima and Maryann make references to real-life and personal illustrations to indicate and exhibit how thinking can avoid overgeneralization traps and helps create new knowledge by trial-and-error thinking. It also highlights how reduced personal risk contributes to maximizing benefits. The book is written in four different parts. The language is easy, and the subject matter is perfectly paced. One must go through and try to follow the wonderful insights to see the path of success.

Let's agree to disagree
Trial, Error, and Success is an interesting read by Dr. Sima Dimitrijev and Maryann Karinch. I always find it curious when some authors choose to go against the norm. I agree with the premise, that even hard sciences are fallible. But considering today’s world, with so many people denying science this seems to jump onboard those theories. The examples are outdated and it lacks scientific structure. And they fall into the same mistake they condemn: they do generalizations. It’s a good book to make you think and it’s well-written, but the content was not very good.

A great book
I bought this book because learning from my mistakes has always been a difficult task for me, I was always trapped by a lingering guilt for not doing what I was supposed to have done or the way I should have done it.Trial, Error, and Success offers us 10 insights into how through thinking we can avoid overgeneralization and maximize the benefits of what the book actually proposes: the trial-and-error process. This book is super interesting, it makes us look at things from another perspective which is beneficial for our daily activities and life. It is written in a friendly and conversational way and it talks about things we were never taught at school. Loved it!
