I bought this to use on a project I am working on. The one I received came in a 3/4 package, however it does not measure true to size. It actually measures at 9/16 diameter. Not a huge difference but big enough to not work for what I need.

Stumps be gone!
Use this auger bit with a cordless 1/2” impact wrench to drill holes in stumps. The holes allows air and to burn stumps down much quicker and easier. I have drilled approx 30-40 holes in several stumps - this bit does not discriminate against old or young stumps. I typically oil the bit while drilling in stumps. Highly recommended

Worked GR8 for 18” deep holes.
Worked like a champ! My onlyProblem is that there are no extensions for the 7/16” hex at the end... I ended up having to go buy a 1/4” shank 3/4” drill to complete drilling horizontally through my 38” table top... this bit worked PERFECT flr the first 18” of the holes. After that chip compaction became a constant issue.

A 1/16" Narrow!
I was excited to use this to locally widen a hollow floating shelf cavity for rod channels.I had used a cheaper auger before but needed a longer one for this project. The cheaper auger was exactly 3/4" diameter. This one is 11/16"! See photo (you'll have to trust me that the callipers are calibrated). It was unusable for my purposes because it fit into the floating shelf cavity without touching the sides.I have to exchange it for the 13/16" auger, which I can only assume will have a 3/4" diameter...
