Holistic Midwifery: A Comprehensive Textbook for Midwives in Homebirth Practice, Vol. 1: Care During Pregnancy Revised Edition

So far, one of my favorite books in studying midwifery. Truly holistic approach. I have been reading Varney's (horribly boring and poorly written) and Miles and Mayes (both British and very well written, easy reading). Looking forward to reading more of Holistic Midwifery volume 1 & 2.

I am planning on studying midwifery after nursing school, and this textbook has proven to be comprehensive, interesting, thought-provoking and very well written. The information and wisdom contained herein is clearly based on evidence and decades of experience in tending women and their loved ones.

The textbooks by anne frye are the books I ALWAYS go to and reference. They are amazingly details and fun to read, but I'm also pretty interested in the technical stuff. Volume 1 gives lots o details on nutrition for optimal pregnancy and the second is great- you can't find this information online! :)Worth ALLLLL the money.

Great book!! Tons of information and it goes into great depth and explanation on everything. Easy to understand. This is a MUST HAVE for all midwives and students. Finally something written by a midwife for a midwife.

Absolutely amazing. Such great information compiled in a perfect way. Anne Frye is a phenomenal teacher! Definitely recommend for not only midwives and assistants, but doulas and educators who want to learn more!

This book has pieces of wisdom and anatomy facts from years of experience.-This book is accepted by midwifery schools.-It has information from years of experience.-It has a lot more info than you would think.-A lot of the info is abbreviated though.Overall this is a good book to learn from.

Love Anne Frye. This book is an easy read and has a ton of great information.

This book is easy to reference and quite detailed in all things pregnancy and birth related.
