They really zip up home-cooking
I ordered these jarred truffles with some trepidation as I would for any mail-order food product. But it turned out that these little devils were as savory and fresh-tasting as you could imagine. There were three, whole black truffles in the jar and they were easy to slice up and powerful in their flavoring of the first dish we used them with. In this case, it was an omelet recipe from a Patricia Wellles cookbook. The eggs were terrific with the truffles minced up in them. I'm no expert on truffles and I suspect that the fungi that you can buy fresh at a farmers' market in Europe are likely to be even better, but these little guys from Truffles USA were wonderful. That said, truffles are an indulgence and never cheap, but I'd argue that they are worth a splurge as often as you can afford them. NOTE: Once you open the jar to use the truffles for the first time, what remains has a limited life-span, even when refrigerated. I think that it's all over inside of a week.

Incredible and intense truffle flavor! A bit pricey but worth it.

Good Value
If you can't get fresh, these are a reasonable and economical substitute. Mild flavor (summer truffles are typically mild) but excellent full aroma. I used on a French omelet, shaved over steak, and I minced one piece to make into a stick of compound butter (which I REALLY recommend). Will continue to purchase.

Cannot return!!! DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY!! NOt worth โtryingโ
A picture or video wonโt help you understand how bad this tastes. If you enjoy cardboard and water then by all means order! I had a feeling things wonโt taste as amazing as fresh truffles but I expected more from this company!! The glass bottle itself had a great earthy smell but when I shaved a piece off I got water and cardboard and havenโt tried any since (about a week) going to throw away tomorrow. The cherry on top is that I could not return this item. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! Not worth even โtryingโ!!!

Great, reasonably-priced truffles!
I love truffles, but like most people, can't access fresh ones. This was an excellent product with plenty of truffle-y deliciousness at a reasonable price for the amount. I made a pasta with truffles, anchovies, garlic, crushed red pepper, oregano, parsley, mushrooms, and parmesan, boosting the truffle flavor with some good white truffle oil from Calivirgin. The flavor was wonderfully-complex and deep. That was last night and, mindful that the remaining truffles would lose their potency quickly, I did a nice scrambled eggs with truffles, mushroom, parsley, and cheddar/jack cheese, again boosted with the truffle oil, and it was great! Recommend this product highly!

Not terrible
These were real truffles, but woefully lacking in flavor. The smell was still good but they were really old and most of the flavor was gone. I guess you get what you pay for, which is why these were so cheap.

Quick inexpensive way to add truffle to your dishes!
We're on our third jar of these and will no doubt buy more. Obviously, you're not waving these under the nose of a Michelin chef or anything, but they're a great way for home cooks to access truffles without breaking the bank. Note: Once opened, the truffle(s) must be used in 7 days. It's smart to do some meal planning before cracking open the jar since a little goes a long way and waste would be heartbreaking.

Fabulous flavor
These were really good. I got two very good size truffle, and we made everything from scrambled eggs with fresh truffle twos steaks with truffle butter to pasta with truffle. They were very moist. I would definitely buy these again.
