Ajipanda bottle 70g .10 pack

I purchased this because I thought it had a cute panda on it. It is merely a glass shaker with a plastic lid, the cute panda face is plastic shrink wrap over the entire item and you have to tear it off to open the lid. If I had known that I would not have purchased it, it is absurdly expensive for 70 gram of MSG, the entire appeal was I thought it was a cute shaker, but it is clear glass only.

Uncle Roger would be proud. I cannot be trusted with a large bag of powdered seasoning in my kitchen as I will make a mess everywhere. I purchased this cute little bottle to use while cooking, and I plan to buy a larger bag (which will be stored safely in the pantry in a ziplock bag) to refill it when it's empty.It's true, the panda face is printed on the plastic that is shrink-wrapped on the outside of the bottle rather than printed directly on the glass. But knowing that, it's very easy to use a knife around the neck of the bottle to cut the plastic right below the cap (there's a perforated line there, as well), then carefully remove the seal from the top while leaving the wrap around the bottle intact. Perfect panda face!MSG is fine-grained and flows well from the shaker top. I am very happy with this product and have already made much delicious egg fried rice using it.

Marketing on MSG is a little misleading so I think many people get a poor expectation of what this product tastes like. Interestingly, true MSG doesn't actually taste like much of anything (it does have a slightly salty/bitter flavor). Instead, it introduces a kind of mouth 'feel.'That may seem difficult to understand, so I recommend having some raw (just a pinch will do) and trying to focus on how your mouth feels while sampling the MSG. The same feel occurs when having red meat, mushrooms, and egg yolk (among others).When added, the feel of the MSG accentuates flavors making them pop more making it a great flavor enhancer. The other benefit is that because the flavors are more noticeable, you'll need to use less salt.Accent and many other similar products cut their MSG with chili powder, salt, and other flavors that, while good, don't have the same affect as near pure MSG.I just wish it was more accessible and less expensive! To be fair, this bottle will last me a long time, so it's still a reasonable price.

First, the good things. This container is refillable and works well as a resealable shaker for MSG. The cap seals well also. It was a bit pricey, though. Braille on the cap too, which could be important to many.Next, the bad thing. The panda face is printed on the wrapper, so when I peeled off the seal, the panda face went away--would it be so hard to print it on the jar? It would also be helpful to print MSG on the jar.

The deco is a shrink wrap decal, but that’s pretty common for such items. It is a little pricey, but I’m a sucker for kawaii things and the non-kawaii one wasn’t much cheaper than the panda. MSG isn’t the enemy! 😋.

Great product I mostly use it to make watered down soup and make it taste like I never added an extra can of water. I have also added some to some mac and cheese to make it taste meaty. Taste by it self is fine but I like to just let it enhance the flavor. If your scared of MSG most of the population aren't allergic to it and if you are don't worry the worst it will do is make your stomach a little upset or give you a headache. So I recommend trying it it's great.

As many others stated, if you’re buying the bottle for the cute panda take note that it’s printed on a clear wrap and not the bottle.With that said there’s perforations at the top and if you take your time you can unseal and keep the full label intact.

Quit being afraid of 70's BS and use it... tiny amount goes a long way, but it pops everything except sweets. But it is pure without all the cap they put in "Accent" Took way too long to get it...will search in local HMarket to find next time.
