Joe’s daughter here! I love this Go-pro mount. I’ve used it with multiple different attachments in my various mermaiding content across my social media. Super easy to use (actually easier to open and close than the go-pro licensed one), it’s made of a durable plastic, not that cheap plastic that breaks, and it has held up to fluke slaps, rock bumps, dog scratches and bites, and lots more. It does not come undone after you put it on there, unless you really want to get it off. I will say one thing about it is that sometimes you have to pry the top clasp open with a spoon or butter knife if it gets dried salt into the joints because it’ll cut your finger if you get it at just the right angle (speaking from experience) but other than that, it’s definitely worth the money and MERMAID APPROVED!

Solid build; fits the 7 snugly without any binding when inserting / removing the cam like the OEM version. Frame is also thicker than OEM which may be a consideration for some, but in my use case (hang gliding and boat) it’s a positive.

For gopro hero 4 fits perfectly. Just what I needed to be able to leave cords to camera
