Hello: This product is made in China and is a very cute hat. The soft inner lining is of nice quality and the babies loved it !

Can the goggles be worn or are they sewn to the hat?

They do come down and can go over eyes. The foam backing on one of ours wasn't attached super great, just glued it back on bc my son (1yo) was a bit rough going up and down with them. His head is in one of the upper percentiles but I still anticipate him being able to wear the hat for a few more seasons.

Would this fit a newborn?

No, I used it for a newborn shoot and it was way too big, but the photo turned out super cute
