One thing I love about this lamp is it's size. I apply make up with two free standing mirrors. One is full magnification and the other is normal view I sit this lampbetween the two and it is perfect! It does it's thing while I apply make up with even better lighting than before. Love it!!

I bought this to help with my circadian rhythm after taking a night shift job. I assumed the "sunset simulation" was a feature where the light would dim as it got close to the timer ending and hoped it might work in reverse too, but no it will just abruptly shut off when the timer ends. I think that's only referring to the temperature options? For some reason it's difficult to find one that will gradually get lighter when it turns on too. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but it works and I appreciate the timer since it's recommended to only use it for like 30 minutes for SAD. It can be very bright and i do like the color options. It remembers your color temperature and brightness setting which is nice. The touch buttons are VERY easy to accidentally press though. I'm also not sure if I'm glad that it came with a regular AC plug instead of a USB. The cord is a good length at least. It's also not too light or flimsy feeling 👍

Okay first impressions, I love this light! I don’t really understand the reviews saying they didn’t really think it was that bright. Did you have it on the fullest brightness setting, because it’s ridiculously blinding! I actually didn’t get this for seasonal depression, I got it because sometimes I like to photograph interiors and food dishes, but the problem is that my house doesn’t get the brightest lighting, and/or it might be a cloudy day, and/or maybe I need to photograph something immediately but it’s not really the right time of day for optimal window lighting. I do have a photography flash set up, one of the most popular out there, but to be honest I’ve rarely gotten it to look that natural. You can just tell it’s not coming from the window. Plus, it’s so much trial and error, taking a photo, then adjusting the flash, then taking another photo, etc etc. Just a headache. I’d rather be able to see in real time what exactly the lighting looks like, and for it to be natural looking, and this is perfect! I love that I can adjust the brightness and the color tone of the light. We tested it in my son’s nursery because I had a wall I needed to photograph, but the window light doesn’t reach it. It made it look like real light was illuminating it! My husband couldn’t tell, he thought it looked super believable. So anyway, I’m sure it’s good for seasonal depression, but it can be very helpful for photography too!

This saved me, I'm AuDHD with a preference to soft light and the occasional winter depression. With this lamp I'm so calm and happy, I can adjust it and there's even a timer. I couldn't recommend this enough!

My son came in my room and immediately put his hands in front of his eyes like he was shielding the sun, and said “what kind of light is that?!” He told his wife I found a way to put the sun in my room lol! The only things I don’t like are there’s no on alarm so it starts at a specific time and the buttons on the back are so sensitive that it’s too easy to accidentally change it to one of the other settings that I don’t like. I like it the brightest and I wish there was a way to lock it on the settings I like. I’ll probably buy one that does all the things I want but for now, this still works and I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my energy and mood. It’s a quality light for someone who feels better with all day light and it looks great. Small but powerful. I’m happy with the purchase so far.

This lamp is not quite as nice as I was hoping for, though for the price, it’s still pretty good. I think it definitely works in terms of the mood stuff. I am currently sleeping in a room with no windows and I really needed it. And although it’s more of a personal lamp than a room lamp, it’s plenty bright enough. Where it’s a bit of a let down is on the simplicity of the settings. I had gotten the impression it could do a gradual sunrise/sunset transition for waking and sleeping. In a very crude way, I guess that’s true. But really it’s just 4 different light strength settings you can set to toggle between over a 15-60 min timer. Also, the orange color is very off putting. Do not like. The other light wavelengths are fine though. All in all, if you’re looking more for affordability than style, this will probably do the trick. If you want something more sophisticated though, keep looking.
