Questions God Asks Us

Don't read this book if you want to remain unchanged!
I was unprepared for how the stories of the people in this book would effect my own life and bring healing. The Tragic event that sparked Men's Repentance Movement is unforgettable and rocked my world. I was so moved by the men's response to what that little girl suffered. Our world would change if more men were willing to humble themselves like they did.Renee Altson's story of how a friend loved her through her "half-finished" state into the love of God, is yet another story that makes this book powerful. But, don't hurry! Linger on the questions to allow The Lord to work in your own life as you meditate and listen for His response. This is the second book I've read of Trevor's. (The first being, "Discovering Your Spiritual Identity") Trevor's work is so powerful: I think each book should come with a warning label-"don't read if you want to stay the same."This would be a great small group study.

Questions God Asks Us
I reviewed the book for an adult discipleship project we are doing with our church, and I found the book not only useful for our people, but found it very helpful in my personal life. I would highly recommend this book to others. His style is not flashy, and Mr. Hudson comes across as one who struggles and faces his problems instead of coming across as if the Christian life is a breeze. It was a refreshing and helpful read and I will be using this book (if we can enough copies!!!) with our adults.

outstanding book
This book took me by surprise. I was delighted with how the book made me look deep within myself to answer these questions. Yet, was presented in such an easy to understand and relatable way.

Great book to add to your library
Our pastor recommended this book to our congregation as it was being used in their preparation for some of our worship services. I found it not only a quick read but also a very interesting thought provoking read. This book also is a good tool for a small group Bible study as it has a question section after each chapter to entice interesting discussion times.

Questions used by our Creator God which grant dignity and transformation not provided by His straightforward answers.
Well written book that addresses questions that God and Jesus asked folks, questions whose answers indicate the attitude of the will and desire for spiritual transformation. My favorite chapter, 8, "Do You Want To Get Well?" addresses the variety of excuses and blame shifting I am guilty of. Jesus' question to the paralyzed man He interacted with at the pool of Bethesda reminded me that "God wants to free you and me. However, there is an important pre-condition.We need to be willing to go on a journey," a journey for which I am not in control. Do I want to get well or just complain?

Honest questions about issues of faith and struggles
Good questions laid out by Trevor Hudson. Surrounded by stories of people's struggles and looking in depth at why those in the Bible would be asked questions in such a way. We are using this in small groups and finding it to be very helpful in helping persons verbalize their own struggles.

Our pastor used this as a basis for a 6 week sermon series.Relevant, thought-provoking, spiritual, and essential are the words that come to mind.I thoroughly enjoyed this book and intend on reading it once a year to remind me what this life is REALLY all about.

Good to be challenged
It is good to have someone who will ask us awkward questions as it is too easy to only listen to folks who do not want to rock our litte boat. We often ask God uncomfortable questions, the shoe is on the other foot with this book.
