All volumes are some of the best WWII books we've read ... excellent interviews and first-hand accounts of these courageous, patriotic veterans.

Extremely well researched. Great to hear the experience s of the men who were there. That generation is slowly disappearing. Very quick read. Every thing I have read from the author has been excellent

Good book to hear some of the things about combat that you didn’t know, especially about bombing

While my husband likes to know about military history, he's not much of a reader. I bought this for him for Xmas and he is enjoying it very much. The size of the chapters are just right, you can finish one or two and then stop. It's easy to pick it up where you left off the next day. The descriptions are intriguing and pull you into the story and sequence of events. A good read on a snowy day. (I have also begun to read it and we are both looking forward to Vol 4 - 6.)

The personal stories were very interesting. I am a Vietnam veteran I would like to have something on this scale for others to read.
