Are the drawstrings and thread 100% cotton? (i.e., is there anything about this bag that’s not 100% cotton?)

Yes, it is 100% organic cotton. Our factory uses GOTS certified cotton, so it is produced under environmentally and socially responsible conditions.

Can these be used for carrying a large pair of headphone?

A large pair, such as the over ear kind, probably not. I used mine to hold 2 pairs of socks.

The 10x15 bags can each hold a regular size shoe, so a 12 pack is enough for 6 pairs of gym shoes. If you want to keep the shoes per pair, I would recommend the 14x17 size bags.
