if you are a Yogi this is a good mat, have a good grip and enought cutioning for my knees, still a bit heavy for travelling, but for value/ quality I am happy with it!

I am a naturally sweaty, oily individual who also enjoys Ashtanga yoga, and the thing I enjoy (yoga) leads directly to the thing I do not enjoy (being sweaty and oily). Getting yoga mats that can stand up to my impressive greasiness has always been a challenge. I bought the Manuka Pro Lite last year, and despite grimly practicing on it for months and scrubbing it half to death with lemon juice and sea salt, I could never break it in. One solitary sun salute and I'd be sliding all over the place. Not so with the eKO Lite. I had an earlier, thinner version of this mat that I bought four years ago, and loved it. I loved it so much that I wore holes straight through it, in the exact places where my feet and hands landed. I could get sweaty and disgusting all over that mat, and I never slipped once. I didn't think it was possible to love a mat more. Good job, Manduka, you've proved me wrong. The new eKO Lite has the same grippy, natural rubber top that stops my sweatiest palms in their tracks, but it's also thicker and heavier, meaning I don't feel like I'm practicing right on the floor. It feels much more substantial and solid than its predecessor, like it's a mat that will last a long time, and stays exactly where you put it on the floor, with none of that magic carpet ride drift nonsense. Yes, it has a powerful rubber odor when it comes out of the box, but a few gallons of sweat on it and that'll go right away. Tl;dr: if you're sweaty and slip around a lot on other mats, this is the mat for you. Very grippy even under the sweatiest and foulest of conditions.

Pouvez-vous vous imaginer passer d'un coup d'une deuche à une rolls? des saccades à une conduite douce, souple et ferme en même temps? et bien c'est vraiment cette impression là que j'ai eue avec ce tapis. Je fais du yoga depuis plusieurs années et pour moi, un tapis, ça n'avait pas franchement d'importance. Puis, un jour, j'en ai quand même eu marre de glisser et de baliser à chaque fois que je faisais le pont. Donc, après une recherche assez longue sur internet, j'ai opté pour le Manduka. Pour moi mes critères principaux étaient une excellente adhérence et une épaisseur plutôt mince, pour les équilibres. Je viens de l'essayer et c'est le paradis. Mes asanas sont mieux maîtrisés, et, oserais-je le dire, plus calmement réalisés. Je me sens beaucoup moins stressée quand je fais des poses assez difficiles. Bref, c'est une nouvelle dimension que je découvre! Bon, au chapitre défauts, je dirais qu'il marque énormément (normal puisqu'il accroche) et que pour un lite il est plutôt lourd (mais au moins il ne roule pas quand on l'étale!). Je ne l'emporterai sans doute pas en voyage, parce que c'est quand même un morceau à trimballer, mais à part ça, c'est parfait! Je note aussi que le vendeur auprès duquel je l'ai acheté, yogamatters, est absolument parfait, et que la livraison, d'Angleterre, a pris exactement trois jours.
