Turtle Fur The Original Fleece Winter Hat

I love these hats and use them for travel. I wear them on planes and hotels where my head gets cold from blowing air conditioning. They can be pulled down over your eyes to block light effectively for sleeping and are super soft without squeezing my head or putting too much pressure on my ears. Thin enough to accommodate headphones over the top as well.

Best toboggan you will find, very soft, comfortable and WARM.

I love this brand. It balances being lightweight, great fitting (for me) and warm enough. Lots of beanies look the business, but just don't protect my dome (and ears!) from that cold winter wind. This one really does a great job. It's the right size, big enough, but not overly so. I love the feel of the fabric. And having previous Turtlefur branded stuff (a neck gaiter) I know this stuff tends to wear well, and last.I'm happy with this purchase.

Its really warm and fits my head snuggly, but I'd prefer if the fleece wasnt on the exterior as well. It seems like it could get those little clumps of cloth on it from wearing and washing. I read on the tag that the material is actually called acrylic and found out it's 100% synthetic. So even though fleece is a byproduct of wool, its all chemically made I guess. That kind of disappointed me when I saw it being listed in the same category as polyester. It isn't the hats fault of course, just my lack of information till now. But in that case I don't really see the need to boast about being all fleece. So yes, the hat is really warm, fitting and quality I guess, we'll see. Buut it also doesn't look that pretty hahha you can't have it all.. I'm a girl with short hair and I look like a cancer patient while wearing it, oh well

So much softer than knit, and not itchy like knit.

I purchased this hat twice because my wife is always cold. The newer version fits tighter and I have a huge head, so it’s perfect for her. My first hat is pilling and it gets worst every time I wash it, but it’s so warm that I don’t care. I love going for walks in the rain or being outdoors in the cold and this cap makes a big difference. If you don’t want the pilling to happen, I’d probably wash this by hand. It’s definitely my warmest cap.

I liked the old fleece better. This feels cheaper.

Having a bald/shaved head, I almost always need winter hats to stay warm outside when it gets cold (and living in New England, it gets cold). I just got this and I'm so impressed with the softness and warmth of the hat. The grey (or was it carbon) color is really nice and I'm a little worried that my wife or my son is going to permanently borrow it from me. My only minor complaint is that it's a little tighter than I thought it would be. I'm a 7 1/4 to 7 3/8 hat size with a pretty narrow face and so I thought this would be comfortable. In reality, it's a little tight, but it's fine to wear when I manually stretch it out. Plus, I think it will break in nicely.I recommend this to you, unless you have an enormous head, it which case you might find it tight. I hope this review helps you make a decision.

It is amazing hat, I bought it for my boyfriend. He used to have one already and he bought his turtle fur hat from USA. It was amazing to find it at Amazon :) he is very happy to replace it again after years later :) I wish they had fleece gloves for men&womsn too that I would definitely buy for myself and my boyfriend..

I bought this for a recent 4 day trip to Banff and are very happy with this purchase. The material is very soft and the fit is perhaps just a tad large but prefer that way. Being slightly longer, you can pull down the hat to ensure your ears are well covered. Even with high blowing winds that made it feel a lot colder than -12C this hat kept my head very warm. It insulates your head from heat loss so well that after getting inside the ski lodge within minutes I had to take it off because it started feeling too warm.

Comfortable, durable, soft -- excellent product! Only thing I noticed is that after a few washes the outer fleece-type material starting piling, but it's not noticeable unless you look for it. Otherwise I'm 100% happy with it.

I like my toque a little on the snug side and this one is perfect. Nice and soft and very warm. Not overly bulky like the knit kind. Fast delivery!

My husband loves his "turtle fur" (a.k.a. fleece) watchman's cap. It has started to pill a bit already, but I have not washed it to see if that is a permanent problem.
