Absolutely love these lights, they were perfect for my art room and allows my dogs to go into there kennels without hesitation. Should do the job
I purchased these so that I could adjust my work lighting. I mounted them underneath my covered outdoor awning into the wood structure. As my awning is a bit low, I needed something that I would crack my head into when I didn't need them yet could use to lower to my work area as needed. They are pretty easy to mount--the photo instructions were pretty obvious--the only drawback is the mount plate where the tightening knob on the cord. The hole is directly under the screw tightening knob and when you try to adjust it, the knob hits the screw head in the mounting plate (yes, it is installed correctly as far down as it will go), making is nearly impossible to turn to anchor the cord. This wouldn't be an issue if you were strictly going for the look of an adjustable lamp and not really planning on adjusting it. I ended up just using one screw to hold the plate in place so that I am able to use the adjustable screw and actually adjust the height whenever I want. It would be nice if they would adjust the holes on the mounting plate to eliminate this issue--just a slight offset of the mounting holes would do the trick.
