This product is for experienced counted cross stitchers. The threads used are very similar in color with just slight shading variations separating them, so it's important to be very methodical in how you work the design. However, that being said, it turned out beautiful. I added the couple's last name, centered between the wrists and it looks great. I used a slightly lighter shade of thread for the last name that what was used for the date and first names. I LOVE the script in this kit! Would I do it again - absolutely! But be aware - it is in German, which I do not speak, so that made following directions a bit complicated which is why it got 4 instead of 5 stars.

I purchased this to make a bridal shower gift for my niece. I wanted to make it on an afghan - I had the perfect afghan with the large center section. I also like afghans because when your finished stitching, they are basically done. All you have to do is finish the ends, which saves time and money! Anyway, I read a review that indicated that you could not make a mistake because there was just enough thread to complete the project and the thread was numbered "1,2,3,4,5,6, & 7." Since I really loved the design, I ordered the kit and then took the thread to my local store and matched up the thread to DMC numbered thread. I was able to match most of the colors, except for the darkest brown. I used the following colors: "blanc" for the white (#1); "ecru" (#2); 3033 (#3); 3782 (#4); #642 (#5); 3790 (#6); and 938 (#7). The other problem I found was that the "coding" in the design was not matched to the numbers! You have to match up the coding figures to the number of the thread, based on the picture of the completed design. It took a little extra work, but I know now that should I run out of thread, I can find more based on a DMC number. I also wound up changing the design of the letters/numbers (name/date) as I wanted something with a little more "flair" for the afghan. I happened to have a couple of booklets of lettering. I gave it a "3" because although I love the design, someone who did not have upfront knowledge of the issues may have some trouble. The pattern was made in Germany, I believe, and it took a while, but I did finally find the instructions. I didn't find, however, the number of threads to use. Since I was making an afghan, I used 6 threads.

Very nicely crafted. It was smaller than I anticipated, but that was my fault for not reading the dimensions. Wish this came in an 8 x 10 size

The instructions don't match the stichting The thread is not what was promised - Not a good kit. BOOOOOO yuk

I have stitched this pattern twice. Unfortunately the when I made it the first time, I didn't realize that it is backwards. The wedding rings seem to be on the bride's right hand. It was still beautiful but, "oops!"

Loved doing this, got it framed ready for my daughter and son in law, very pleased with it.

I really like this, the only problem I have is the colours are so much alike it's hard to follow.

Another beautiful design by Vervaco-am currently stitching this as a wedding present. Easy size to frame oneself when completed.
